I've spent more than a few nights at the hotels on Washington Road, but surprisingly they don't have package deals for greens fees at Augusta National.

I don't think I've ever even seen the gate, just hotels and restaurants.

True story--My SOBC platoon was known for gently pushing the envelope on certain administrative things.  Well, one day four of us decided to go to lunck at Gordon Lakes.  We're out on the patio, enjoying a warm February day, laughing and joking, when all of a sudden one of us (he was in the NC NG) says, "(Chief of Signal Branch) General Harris!" in a hushed tone.  I reply, "Where?"  Mark (that 2LT) says, "Right behind you!"  Just then, I feel a hand on my shoulder, and it's MG Harris' voice saying, "How are things going?"  We were taken aback by being put on the spot, but we talked with him for five-six minutes . . . then noticed that we were going to be late for class if we didn't get back right then.  We said our goodbyes and got in our cars, thinking, "This is a perfect excuse for being late!"  We get back to the classroom . . . and the afternoon class had been cancelled.  We had this perfect excuse, and no one to use it on.
