I am going to quit beating around the bush... [View all]
Fascism isn't coming. Fascism isn't threatening us. Fascism is here and it has taken a hold of this country. There is no "oh, no it could be here soon." In the name of Mussolini, we are living it.
This was brought on by my reading of the news and the freaking threads all over DU.
There is hope though. Half of this country has woken up. I am WHOLLY confident that the next election will steer us back to a majority in both the house and the senate unless they manage to steal the election, which is highly possible. Probable even. I don't know. Maybe I'm completely insane. I hope that I am. But I had to say it.

It's their second-favorite f word

What I think is more likely is that Barack H 0bama will cancel the Nov. elections and use his new drones to kill conservative judges.

Oh, I'm exaggerating? Well, the "constitutional scholar" just warned the SCOTUS that they aren't elected and should uphold his unconstitutional law. In one sentence he eliminated the entire concept of judicial review.

So were I John Roberts or Samuel Alito or any other conservative justice, I would watch my back. The 0bama Death Squad is coming.

Scratch a liberal, find a fascist, particularly since January of 2009.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

They sure love that old propagandist's trick of loudly denouncing your opponent for exactly what you intend to do yourself.

If you ask me, the Obama run goat and donkey show is the closest thing to fascism this country has ever seen.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

Yes, you are.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
