I am going to go out on a limb here and state I think she may be a wee bit obsessed with our observation of her online playground.    Just a wee bit.    Like in a I-crave-drama kind of way.

Hi grasswire.    You should really just sign up here if you are going to spend so much time on this site.    We can't sign up at the DU as you know, so come on over.    We have cookies.   :)

She wants pie. Hers sucked so bad, she couldn't give them away.

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Help keep America beautiful...deface a liberal.

The Democrat and Republican parties are simply the left and right wings of the same bird of prey.

The road to freedom is paved with dead liberals.

oh dear...that is...unfortunate.

You never saw that before?

I remember it well; it was one of those lazy summer afternoons on conservativecave when people were just sitting around twiddling their thumbs.  Seeking fresh inventory of the DUmpster, I posted a campfire in which the fecund grasswire primitive was wondering about magnesium supplements.

I thought it would garner maybe half a dozen responses, and then wither away.

Whoa, it didn't.

Darn it, I shouldn't have looked.  Now that I've seen her I don't think I can be mean to her anymore.

Reminds me too much of the "grandmotherly" type.

Yeah, I know, I shouldn't judge the book by its cover.

Did Pie Lady ever open her shop?
No, of course not. She doesn't have a dime, beyond public assistance, and the building was a vacant, abandoned bodega.

Permits, licenses, inspections, certifications, fees, etc., especially in a blue hellhole like Oregon, are designed to be a nearly insurmountable obstacle to business.

What would it cost to be renovated to standards of safety and cleanliness required for a commercial restaurant?

If it's more than zero, it's out of Judy's league. Hell, she's a homeless vagrant.

She may have thought she could get a pass by giving free pie to inspectors, but who would eat anything she prepared, especially in a rodent-infested abandoned building?

Kick that dead pigeon out of the way, and pull up a chair, Mr. Health Inspector.

Let me bend over first.  :naughty:

Such a tease.  :-)

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

So, as of almost a year ago, Crazy Judy was 68 years old.

Hmmmm....

When I was young, I was taught that you should respect your elders because with age comes wisdom.  I see that Crazy Judy is most certainly an exception to that rule.

If I am that emotionally stunted at the age of 68, I certainly hope that my loved ones have enough pity to keep me out of public to prevent embarrassing them and sullying the family name.

Permits, licenses, inspections, certifications, fees, etc.,
...and you have to show proof of being insured 12 ways to Sunday at every step of the way.  Including the outrageously priced Workers Comp.

I have to say that the OregonLive reporter is an airhead of the first distinction.  "Pie Shop to Open...." as if it's a done deal, ready to go this Monday.  Then, Judy states plainly that public employees, such as health inspectors and zoning regulators will be given goods for free.  Illegal intent to commit bribery right there in print.  Goes right over the reporter's head.

Oh and Ogre, calm down.  She's no Aunt Bea.
