You know, this is what's always been exciting about college football, as compared with professional football.
Professional football is boring; nothing unexpected ever happens, nothing ever goes wrong. Someone throws the ball, someone else catches it. Someone runs a few yards, and gains ground. Someone kicks the football, and it lands where one wants it to land. Perfectly and flawlessly, professional football rolls on.
Amateur football, or college football, however is another game altogether. Anything can happen in college football, and usually does.
I'm sure my fellow Nebraskan can himself recount the surprises in Nebraska football games.
There's gains, there's losses, there's penalties, there's fumbles.
This game's just gotten underway--only one play so far--and so there's bound to be gains, losses, penalties, fumbles.
Oh, and interceptions too.
