For all the complaining Conservatives do about so called political correctness, they sure do practice it a lot. Think about it. In the same way Conservatives (or Republicans if you will) complain that Liberals get upset too quickly and throw out accusations of racism or evil insensitivity way too quickly when Conservatives make what they believe to be rational criticisms of Liberal groups or causes, Conservatives do the same in the following areas: Military and Christianity.

Say something that is not 100% positive about anything remotely related to the military or Christrianity and you are UnAmerican or Immoral and out of touch with the core beliefs of our nation; regardless, of how fact or reason based that criticism is.

I am reminded of what a Professor once said about the popular criticism of so called judicial activism: "People only get upset with judicial activism when it results in a conclusion they disagree with." Substitute "Political Correctness" for "Judicial Activism" and the salient point of this phrase remains valid.
PC for the left you moron!  :bird:

CNEchols, what you said isn't true. Political Correctness is in conservatives just as much as they are in liberals. Your example of MSNBC was not an example of political correctness but an example of MSNBC just distorting the truth to hide something. There's a difference. Fox News also does that as well. In fact an entire documentary shows the tactics that Fox News does

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w39FnpuMRfo

Conservatives always cry about political correctness but they do the same thing

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_correctness

Political correctness (adjectivally, politically correct; both forms commonly abbreviated to PC) is a term which denotes language, ideas, policies, and behavior seen as seeking to minimize social and institutional offense in occupational, gender, racial, cultural, sexual orientation, certain other religions, beliefs or ideologies, disability, and age-related contexts, and, as purported by the term, doing so to an excessive extent. In current usage, the term is primarily pejorative,[1][2] while the term politically incorrect has been used as an implicitly positive self-description. Examples of the latter include the conservative The Politically Incorrect Guide published by the Regnery editorial house[3] and the television talk show Politically Incorrect. In these cases, the term politically incorrect connotes language, ideas, and behavior unconstrained by a perceived orthodoxy or by concerns about offending or expressing bias regarding various groups of people.

Political correctness happens to conservatives all the time. They are against and get offended at anyone who attacks or questions not just Christianity but any religion. Many Christians censor and get political correct over Islam because many hate Islam. They also want to censor things regarding the military. And they are also politically correct in terms of sex, language, and drugs. These are the political correct things conservatives cry about.

Look at what the right wing media is doing to Occupy, accusing protesters of all of these terrible things when the terrible things that are happening are like 1% of the entire movement and they are all homeless people anyways. Not to mention the cops are sending criminals and sex offenders and even paying some of them to stay in those areas.

But I wouldn't call that Political correctness

And also just for the record, the tea-party while not fully racist has many racists. In fact many followers and leaders/organizers are racists and are part of racist groups and domestic terrorist groups. Many organizers and followers believe in extremist ideology that follows the same exact ideology of these terrorist groups. So terrible things and horrible things have happened under the tea-party as well but to a worse extent.
It is politically incorrect to criticize Islam. Get you head out of the sand, you ****tard!  :bird:

brad12d3 you are completely contradicting yourself. You are preaching that you are speaking truth while making up lies about liberals.

Yes, you guys have been trying to silence opposing views. And conservatives and the right have always been the ones who have mostly put forth censorship and silencing views of others.

What you are speaking about isn't truth.
Speaking out of your ass. Stupid ****er.  :bird:

My entre point was not to say Conservative's are politically correct. Nor was it to say Liberals who are politically correct - if there is such a thing - are correct.

My point from my original post and repost was to illustrate how both sides act in the same manner, use the same responses, but accuse the other side of wrong doing for those actions and responses. Thus, I used the quote from one poster to show how the other side could say the same thing.
Contradicting yourself.

Not quite DUmbasses -

If one of you states that the Catholic church has had a problem with some priests behaving as sexual predators, I will agree with you.

If you allege that most priests dig little boys ( which many of you have ) then I have a problem with that statement.

If you say that some former military folks lose their minds and kill a bunch of innocent people, then I will agree.

If you say that most of the military love to kill others, then I will complain.

See how that works ? I agree to truthful statements, and complain about lies & distortions - even if the truth is something that scores you 'points'.

For example - some of you still insist that John Edwards was innocent.- because he was 'set up' -- Really ?
The same with Scott Ritter
And Bill Clinton
And Bill Ayers
etc etc etc

Because they are members of your tribe, they can do no wrong.

I saw that this morning. I wondered what the DU names were of many of the posters.

Since this is a conservative message board I'd like to do a test to check the initial posters idea.

I honestly believe that...
Churches today too often bend to fit the perversions of society in an attempt to find acceptance. The job of the church is not to bend nor is it to attempt to find acceptance. The church should be a steadfast beacon of truth. Sometimes the truth is not pleasant to some people. Too bad for them. It is not the church's job to try to sugar coat it. Too many churches today are teaching funky-feelgood-BS in an attempt to draw in the masses. This is pathetic. And finally, not enough churches are excommunicating members who flagrantly violate the alleged beliefs of the church.

Okay fellow conservatives, I just leveled some criticisms against the church (aka Christianity by the left). Show me this conservative political correctness that the toledo loon talks about.
“Don’t vote for the person who tells you you deserve something. Just don’t do it if it’s something other than life, liberty, or the pursuit of possible happiness. If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

Steel on target.  Matter of fact, I read something yesterday (last night, actually) that said that the new Mass translation by the RCC was specifically designed to rein in "wayward priests" who try to inject their personality into the saying of the Mass, and change the prayers.  One of the commenters of said article said that the Confeitor isn't even said in the Masses in the Diocese of Rochester NY.

From what I've heard about the Diocese of Rochester I wouldn't be surprised if they missed out the Lord's Prayer...

You commies could have bought a LOT of pot with that much $$.
Help keep America beautiful...deface a liberal.

The Democrat and Republican parties are simply the left and right wings of the same bird of prey.

"So terrible things and horrible things have happened under the tea-party as well but to a worse extent."
What a freaking imbecile.
Let me break it down for the DUmmy:
Tea Partiers who have been arrested in Tea Party demonstrations for vandalism and/or violence: 0.
Occupiers who have been arrested in their demonstrations for vandalism and/or violence: Hundreds.
Women and teens raped at Tea Party demonstrations: 0.
Women and teens raped at Occupy events: 10 at the very least, plus an Occupier in one city was arrested last fall for trying to make a little money on the side by pimping out a 14- year- old runaway to a "john" who turned out to be an undercover cop (I still remember the would- be- pimp's mugshot, she was sobbing in it like the miserable coward she was, a good representation of the Occupy movement as a whole).
Open calls for violence and lawlessness at Tea Party demonstrations: 0.
Open calls for violence and lawlessness at Occupy events: Too many to count.
So, what was that you were saying, DUmmy?

What planet are these people on?

These are the same that think the MSM is hardcore right wing machine instead of the propaganda office of the DNC.

Piss off a conservative by telling a lie.
Piss off a Liberal by telling them the truth.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

You are so right. I have said that before many times. Don't mind if I add more. I think many churches are too obsessed with attracting new members. I mean not all churches of course. Also, they really emphasizes "turn the other cheek" too much.

The intolerable should never be tolerated.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.
