Gatorade Spill Snarls Traffic Near Florida Everglades

WESTON, Fla. —  Gatorade the thirst quencher has become a headache for motorists traveling on southbound U.S. 27 near the town of Weston on the edge of the Everglades.

A big rig overturned Thursday morning on the road in Broward County. Bottles of Gatorade were spilled in the southbound lanes near Mile Marker 42, several miles north of Interstate 75.

The southbound lanes are closed. No one was injured.

Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Wysocky says the tractor trailer ran off the road, then came back across the roadway towards the median where it overturned.

Sounds like a sticky situation.   :-)

Maybe it was Nature Goddess' way of congratulating the highway for "coaching" a winning speeder.
