Okay, DUmmies, you really got her pissed off this time.

Hope you enjoy wasting away with bird flu, or smoldering in the residue of radioactive milk, when the revolution comes to your street and you don't know what to  do.

You'll be crying out for parenteral help, as the arc comes crashing down, and no help will come.

Hope you're happy.

Homeless teen prodigy 'never dreamed' of State of the Union invite
The 4-foot-11 teen stood tall as the guest of Long Island congressman Steve Israel, who made the invite after her story of reaching the semifinals in this year’s prestigious Intel Science Talent Search made national headlines.

Israel wanted not only to honor Garvey for her perseverance against adversity, but also to raise the question of how a middle-class family of an academic prodigy could fall into homelessness. Garvey’s father lost his job, her parents were in a car accident that left her mother unable to work for nine months, and the family incurred the cost of traveling to El Salvador because of the death of Garvey’s maternal grandmother. They fell behind on the payments on their home in Brentwood, N.Y., and were evicted on New Year’s Eve.

“On the holidays, you’re not celebrating the holidays,’’ Garvey told NBC News. “You’re putting your stuff in storage and looking for a place to live. It’s not really festive. It’s bad.’’

Huh!?!  This is a cost they didn't have to incur.  As much as any rational individual would like to attend the funeral of a loved one, especially a parent or grandparent, sometimes you've got to realize that, given the circumstances, someone who really loved you would understand if you couldn't.

I went over; you should see the millions of hearts that whackjob OWS cheerleader Sabrina has!!  I'm telling you it's shocking and shameful, the inequality of it all.  How dare she hoard these hearts?  Someone may need to travel to El Salvador to be at the funeral of some forgotten, ancient relic.

I noticed that too, and I had no idea who sabrina was, but if she practiced what she preaches she'd share them with people who don't have as much as she has.

That was my thought, too.  Bad luck played a part of their troubles, but one stooooopid choice, probably was the straw that broke the piggy bank.

DUmmy sabrina is just an anonymous, faceless unterprimitiven insect. She had all those hearts the first day they showed up.

She bought 'em for herself!!

She'll take herself out to  dinner on Valentine's Day. Maybe she'll run into the curiously absent Sara Imaboobi.

8. The second paragraph of the OP excerpt raises a question, and then answers it.

"Israel wanted not only to honor Garvey for her perseverance against adversity, but also to raise the question of how a middle-class family of an academic prodigy could fall into homelessness. Garvey’s father lost his job, her parents were in a car accident that left her mother unable to work for nine months, and the family incurred the cost of traveling to El Salvador because of the death of Garvey’s maternal grandmother. They fell behind on the payments on their home in Brentwood, N.Y., and were evicted on New Year’s Eve."

Being a teenage academic prodigy has nothing to do with the events that propelled the family into homelessness, so that part of the question seems pointless. As to how the family became homeless, well, the events listed were probably contributory: job loss, car accident, unable to work, travel expenses for funeral.

The response was not snarky, but merely pointed out that a question was asked and answered itself.

I'm just as sorry as I can be if even *that* was offensive, or maybe it was too crunchy - but life goes on.

That's an interesting summary of the top twenty DUmbasses of 2011.

It's also interesting to consider what it means as far as competition for the current Top DUmmy.

If you discount the DUmmies who've disappeared and the ones who've given up any pretense of competing, you're left with:

01 nadinbrzezinski
05 Stinky the Clown - The most boring, unimaginative, unentertaining DUmpmonkiey of them all.
08 EFerrari - Could contend if she'd resurrect the jailbird son, or the travails of living in that little camper in the desert, currently no factor.
11 NNN0LHI- Nearly incoherent. His last bouncy was worse than an rsmithnumbers tale.
12 Proud2BlibKansan - Copy and paste.
14 kentuck-- Huh? Can't recall a single thing he's posted.
15 kpete - One nice thread, then disappeared back into C&P oblivion. Handicapped by lack of a brain.
16 Skinner, EarlG, & Elad - Cannot compete with Adbot. Flunkies are likely to be laid off soon. No way it takes three to run this mess.
17 William Pitt - Nothing. The DUmpmonkeys have even stopped calling him "Mister Pitt".
18 Mineral Man - Could be good, but will get tombstoned for heresy.
19 The Straight Story - Could become a contender. More heart-rending whiny sob story bouncies, please.

I see no one with even an outside chance to compete with nadin for Top DUmmy except poor, stupid Beth and poor, whiny Straight Story.

The biggest disappointment is HorseWithNoBrain. Her slutty daughter stories, her dick inspection business, and the saga of moving into that abandoned farmhouse could have propelled her to the top, but she just let it all go.

There'd be a monstrous discombobulation in the Force if the nutcase were to be tombstoned.

Gotta keep in mind it's only early February.

That's an interesting summary of the top twenty DUmbasses of 2011.

Good analysis; and I concur.

Maybe this might be the year Beth finally reaches the pinnacle, although I still think, very strongly, that she should've been the original Top DUmmie back in 2005.

But that's water past the dam; no way can one bring it back and correct it, alas.
