Him: It's the poor who benefit from government. Me: Bullshit.
One way to help get our tax codes revised is to educate the People about just who benefits from government. In my humble opinion, the wealthy benefit far more from government (and society) than the poor. Wingers, and many others, don't understand this fact.

Here's some evidence; please add to the list...

We spend 22% of our federal budget on defense. We're spending that money largely to defend the assets of the wealthy.

We spend vast amounts of money on local law enforcement, again, largely protecting the assets and lives of the rich.

The wealthy use our public road and bridges, ports and airports, to ship their goods.

Please add your thoughts. Thanks.

Where does that money come from in the first place asshole? The government has no money..

I have this argument with the only liberal engineer I know and he refuses any and all logic on the issue. Even with a logical mind as his, the emotion and indoctrination are just too much to be overcome with facts.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

That is the most convoluted idiocy one can imagine.
It has a conclusion that it stuffs reality into.

It can just as easily and equally wrongly be completely reversed.

We spend 22% of our federal budget on defense. We're spending that money largely to defend the lives of those who don`t add to society

We spend vast amounts of money on local law enforcement due to vagrants and the useless committing crimes.

The poor use our public road and bridges, ports and airports, to acquire their goods while 47% pay no income tax.

Why is it just as wrong DUmbasses?
Read the Constitution and you will see.
