I've seen Jesus referred to as Jeebus and Jeezus.
Does that mean we can interchange Muhammad/Mooohammad and Buddha/Booba?

I am not religious in the least. I just find it oddly antagonistic and out of place.

Your days are short here grasshopper.

...the only real answer is "Try it and see who alerts on it and
what a Jury decides".

The rules here on what's acceptable and what's not seem to
be *VERY* fluid.

No shit.

11. I am not asking for a rule.

I was just having a discussion on decorum.

13. None the less, you're discussing it in the wrong place.

Meta-discussion (discussion about DU itself) go in the
"Help & META-DISCUSSIONS" forum.

Ditto when I say "Gawd" Ditto when I refer to Ratzinger, rather than the Pope because 1. I have no respect for Ratzinger, but 2. I do respect Catholics and their right to their beliefs, including their honoring of the Pope as an important figure in their religious hierarchy.

On the other hand, I would find it hard to interpret your two examples as other than intentionally derisional...

That makes sense to me.. Perhaps not to you.
If not for hypocrisy, many DUmpMonkeys could not speak at all...

Islam has been pretty bad about that even in these modern times, right?

But remember - it's the atheists who are oppressed on the DUmp...just like in society more generally.

113. To put things in perspective.......

To some people calling Jesus a blasphemous name is just as offensive as calling gay man the 'F' word or calling a black person the 'N' word. I wish some folks around here would be a little more sensitive to others.

Yeah right.  If it doesn't fit their agenda there is no tolerance or sensitivity.

162. As a Christian

and a liberal Obama supporter, I find it highly insulting. Rethugs aren't the only Christians in the world, contrary to popular belief around DU. If we Christians created threads attacking atheist, I'm positive we would all be banned by now. I was called a nutcase for being a Christian in a thread regarding evolution and my post hidden. However, the poster who attacked me and called me a nutcase was allowed to continue posting anti-christian rhetoric. As a Christian, I believe God created all men equally. No race is inferior and anybody can achieve anything if they put their mind to it . Evolution is a theory that has yet to be proven and because it is such a far stretch and has so many holes, i doubt it ever will. On the flip side, The belief in god has been around since the dawn of man, and cannot be disproven. God is a superior being who has all mighty power over everything. This is my belief and I shouldn't be attacked because of what I believe in.

I don't see how you can be both.  How you can support the murder of children and be a Christian.  But I digress, as you can see there is zero tolerance on the DU and with most liberals.  I hate to be the bearer of bad news but your a closet conservative, there is no life for you at DU.

This is exactly what The Federalists warned about and why we are a republic and not a democracy: republics have rules, democracies only have self-serving mobs.

This is the entirety of the problem perfectly captured in microcosm. This is why "The 99%" as an ideal should be dismissed without consideration.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Oh yeah, it should be really funny as every single blasphemous post they made is broadcast for all of Heaven to see. The God they relentlessly mocked will sit looking increasingly annoyed, and all the DUmmies will be able to do is smile nervously and softly say, "Um, uh, um, uh, heh heh heh, um, can't You take a joke?"
