That was a message I posted on what alleges itself to be DU's Women's Rights forum. In the mesage, I tell of how my father, my uncle, and five other men have raped me. That's what we're supposed to do, right? Speak up!

But OOPS! I wasn't clinical in my description of the things that have happened to me. I used gutter language, just like the men did while they were raping me. But I finished by making it clear that I still desire men AND THAT THERE ARE GOOD ONES OUT THERE!

I received two replies before the thread was locked. Another member posted a thread supporting me. It too was locked. WOMEN'S RIGHTS my ass! Oh sorry, my anus!

Dunno how real the background story it but there's no reason to dismiss it out-of-hand.

But the real point is DU's reaction. Most are sympathetic. But then there are others:

31. I question the value of allowing someone to act out all over DU
 under the aegis of "catharsis". I question the value of allowing them to seek inappropriate attention for being a victim or to inflict their terrible boundaries on the whole forum. That would essentially ask this community to support someone for not seeking the real help they need and that's basically cosigning unhealthy behavior.

Find a rape survivors group that understands what you've been through or a women's clinic that can point you in the right direction of a sympathetic therapist. You are not going to get what you're looking for here.

When they do destroy it, which doesn't seem that far off at the present rate, the addicted and rudderless innerwebz Keyboard Kommandos will have to cluster somewhere.  I just hope we can figure out where they're landing in January and Februaty, so our bowl of raw comedy does not run dry.

I don't know, that one sounded angry enough to be a real DUmmie. The new DU 3.0 no longer allows wimmin's righteous indignation at oppressive misogynous males?
