Well, I am, just not as fast as before.

Health update. I'm still dying but not as fast. I got some help.
A few days ago I wrote an inflammatory post that got locked.

In that post I used my rapidly failing health to illustrate why private health insurance is a seriously bad idea and advocate for a change. It is and has been one of my pet projects since joining DU. In the post title I said I was dying and wasn't going to seek help.

I want to thank all the great DU members who posted in response to my OP and to the many of you who took a moment to write me mail of encouragement and support. It meant a lot and you convinced me to take a chance and reach out one more time. I still can't get the help I really need for my spinal injury or pain, but I have been help with the hemorrhaging. We've come up with a temporary solution and found funds for some diagnostic work. My boss is hopeful but cautious. She knows my medical history and has said that if it is a tumor that I don't have a lot of reserves to draw upon. Plus I still couldn't afford much in terms of care.

But for now I am stable and waiting for an MRI. It isn't enough and no one should have to go through this (after me I mean - er, no one else besides me - er, which I mention because I am already going through it so baring a time machine I can't really get out of it - crap, I'm gonna shut up now).

Anyway thanks to DUers for your support. I love everyone here, even the annoying ones. We are all more alike than some of us want to admit. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

This is the DUmmy who claimed to be dropping, what was it? A quart of blood a day, five days a week, or something like that? I'd love to hear what the "temporary solution" to that one was.

5. Fingers crossed. Hugs.

Bear in mind, these are the same people who can fly cross country to "rough it" in a city park, collect money to send decrepit, anti-Semitic journalists dozens of roses, and spend lavishly on "Im-Peach-Mints" and "Buck Fush" t-shirts, but the best they can do for their dying compadre is "Lotsa luck, charlie."

I guess after AndyScam, they keep their wallets tight.

I'm still dying too.
Sort of started on day one.
Not a damn thing I can do about it.
That sorry ass claims he's going to die without socialized medical care.

For the DUmbass.
Listen, socialized medicine will not help you. Period.
If your condition is serious, you go to the bottom in favor of those that "might" recover.
Your great government health board decrees you are no longer worth saving.
Why would the government spend money on a loser like you?
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

The DUmp's answer to the Bayonne Bleeder has done gone and clotted up.

I think it was a write-in campaign for a Broken Elbow.

Coach took away her dream when he mentioned no write-in has ever finished in the top ten.

All those quarts of blood to no avail.

Sometimes the DUmmy Awards are a cruel mistress.

Break it up, DUmbass, nobody bought it the first time.  Maybe you should instead do something about that acute case of drama queenery that you seem to be suffering from.
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

John C Calhoun, "Disquisition on Government", 1840
