I swear I'm listening to Romney talk about how great America is and how we are an exceptional nation, and all that stuff. When will these people learn that their simplistic black and white worldview does not work in the real world? I'm sorry, Romney, but America is just another nation with another flag, we are not special or better than any other country in the world.

Actually, while the world is in fact a bit more complex than black and white, having traveled a significant portion of it, the only black and white choice is whether I'd live in America, or somewhere else.

America was and is the grand experiment in human history.   We moved beyond the Kings, Dictators and Potentates of the world to become the first country on the face of the earth to be run by the common man.

However there is no other civilization on earth like ours, unlike the rest of the world we go back only 300+years.   Others go back to 10,000 years, yet we Americans lead them in the ideas of true freedom, technology and try to dig them out of mind set of 2,000 years ago.  Not an easy job, ever have a Grandpa set in his ways???

We who are fortunate to have been born here in the last 150 years have never seen warfare on our land, never had invaders come riding in and slaughter our family's.    Never have we ended up running for our lives, no starvation's or disease sweep across the Continent.

We never wittiness our daughters torn from our homes to be raped by invaders  or sons conscripted into an
 Alien Army.  None of our churches or temples were torn down to build new structures that followed a strange Faith.

JUST Another COUNTRY and FLAG you say ????

Our flag is a symbol of freedom for the common man and a reminder that we are all so different and Blessed with the blood of our fore fathers to keep us the common man free.  

Go compair your rights to drive in America and those in Latin America,  get pulled over for a broken tail light, in America and you get a warning, have the same thing happen in Mexico you may get  bullet's to the head and the cops steal your car.

Right, just another country and another flag, so be it but the FLAG is flown with freedom in mind, not as a threat.

Do Not cast aspersions MY FLAG.  Go live under another Flag and when limping home to America few will feel the least bit sorry for you.
