The college football season's starting to wind down, alas, and I've barely gotten to know the sports primitives.
Maybe next year.
Anyway.
To lead off, the Tourette-afflicted condom primitive, an aspiring sports-writer. You know, the condom primitive, who's as old as franksolich and who's been in college since Jimmy Carter was president, trying to defer paying off all those student loans, is never going to make it as a sports-writer until he has that Tourette thing fixed.

*************COLLEGE FOOTBALL: WEEK 13*************
2 weeks to go. Rivalry Week and the best slate of games, by far, this week.
joey continues his ascent up the standings by going 10-5. Looks like era and brendan will duke it out for the title with a a couple within striking range.
Shit, that was one tough week. The battle for the basement is unsettled, also.
Many of us have got a good shot at that. Maybe the prize should be Bill O'Reilly's new book. Nah. Then everyone would lose on purpose. Can't have that but I knows we all want to read that thang. Okay, a bitter rivalry ends Thanks-giving night so get em' in before kick. Here we go for the penultimate time.

Just missing the cut were Oregon and Oregon State and an intriguing Michigan State - Northwestern game in Chitown. Good ****ing luck!!
franksolich is currently 3-2-1 against the primitives in the prediction department. The first two weeks, I didn't take this prediction business seriously, and went 0-2 against the primitives. Since I've started taking it seriously, I've significantly improved.
Of course, the deal is the primitives are always offered easy choices along with the hard ones; franksolich ignores the easy choices and picks one hard one.
franksolich this week is picking Clemson to upset South Carolina.
The primitives base their predictions upon what the talking faces on television tell them, and on the odds. franksolich bases his predictions upon the intangibles, things primitives don't have the cerebral capacity to see and understand.
Iowa plays Nebraska on Friday, at Nebraska.
Iowa's got a pretty good team, so anything can happen.
This game will conclude our first season in the Big 10, and overall, generally, most of the time, it's been pretty good. Wonderful fans, class fans, fans of Wisconsin, Ohio State, Minnesota, Michigan State, Northwestern, and Michigan.
It might've seemed a rocky start, but hey, this was our first year.
Wait until next year.
