That looks like a single 90 minute, movie, though.  I remember it being a series that my work schedule would not permit me to see.  Hoping to find it on Netflix if I can remember the title.

Let's see--

Series, check.

Begins with asteroid shattering the moon into pieces, not so much.

Unable to watch during my work schedule-- not in 1975.
