Americans Would Pick Reagan Over FDR
(a lot of dumb people out there):

A new 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll finds Americans would choose Ronald Reagan over Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 36% to 29%, as the past president they would want in the White House in these trying times. Thomas Jefferson came in third place with 14% from a... Full Article at Taegan Goddard's Political Wire

2. I think RR's popularity will wane with passing generations.
It's been less than 25 years since RR seduced the American electorate. Not enough time has tarnished the result of his policies.

Little secret for ya...O is making President Reagan more popular every day.  :cheersmate:

8. Jeez, if this doesn't make you stop and pause in horror for a moment, you aren't paying attention.
Americans have got to be some of the stupidest voters ever. I know, the campaign to prop up St Ronnie has been in full swing for decades now but still, you'd think most Americans would have figured this out by now.

Of course, we already knew that.

That was proven in 2008. However, 2010 showed that they can learn.

Well then, Happy Halloween!

Look how intellectually lazy they are.  They make up a simple answer "Americans are just stupid, that's all, that's the ticket.  That's enough work, time to go home and hit the bong."

I agree.  That 29% would pick FDR over Reagan *does* represent an awful lot of really dumb people.

One brought us an ever deepening depression for over 12 years until he started a war with Japan that killed tens of millions and the other brought us out of a terrible depression, set us on a course of prosperity for over 25 years, and one the cold war without a single casualty. Not a tough choice unless you are mentally retarded.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

There was a story going around today in the media about he feasibility of adding another head to 70 year old Mt Rushmore, opened to the public this day in 1941.

Ronald Reagan's name was mentioned. I'm all for it for Reagan, other presidents have been mentioned over the years but Reagan is arguably the most important and popular president of the twentieth century and considering all the others previous if any of them are added it should be IMHO president Reagan.

Originally all four presidents currently depicted were to be shown down to the waist but federal funding ran out in October 1941.

No shortage of THE ONE must be added to Mt. Rushmore efforts have been floated dating back to early 2009, in the heat of THE GLOW.

So what say ye, cavers? Should there be additions to Mt. Rushmore?

"How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin; And how do you tell an anti-communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin." ~Ronald Reagan
