Is it possible Herman Cain is punking the GOP?

When I hear the outrageous things he says, his words could very well be construed as satire (a la Stephen Colbert). His 9-9-9 tax plan comes froms a Sims game; he declares that racial inequality does not exist in this country and he does not want to be called African American. Then he made some truly ridiculous immigration commments this weekend (20 foot fence; electrified; you try to climb you die) - to applause and cheers. When asked about it, Cain claims what he said was a joke.

So I've been wondering....is his entire campaign a joke?

It sure would be something if true but I know it isn't. He's got his head up Koch ass and even though he claims he's joking, he's isn't. He would most definitely get great enjoyment watching people get electrocuted and I bet he could even turn it into a sporting event for good Christian Republicans. Then sell them pizza while they watch.

The poor widdle DUmiies are having a hard time wrapping their tiny heads around this. Cain is black and not a democrat, does not compute. Cain is black, and is rising in the polls teabaggers hate blacks so that can't be either. So it has to be a joke or something.  :whatever:

who had registered as a Republican. They were interviewing him and asking if it was a mistake. He claimed it was a fraternity prank and that he had forgotten to change it.

Maybe Cain is that guy.

3. I think he originally got into this thing because they needed to prove they're not bigots

and he thought name recognition would increase his book sales.

He's not a stupid guy. He was a civilian mathematician for the Navy. He's built a solid business (yeah, his pizza sucks, but he knows where sucky pizza will sell). He's been a radio blowhard which means he's got to be able to string sentences together.

In other words, he's much better than the image he's projecting and he's smart enough to know his nein, nein, nein is a total crock of shit.

He's a puzzle to me. I don't know why he's tossing red meat to stupid people, he's clearly much more intelligent than that. He's obviously playing some sort of role. I'm just not sure what it is yet.

Yeah because there is no way that he could have come up with the idea of running all by himself, it's not like he's a rocket scientist, oh wait.

10. His 9.9.9 tax plan reminds me of his $9.99 pizza special

there is a possibility, considering his outlandish comments etc.

To me he is a complete joke but I love the fact that he is digging his own
grave, I can see Obama running rings around his sorry arse.

I heard he has a mathematician brain, that is wonderful as mathematicians are
not known to have common sense, they are known to be one dimensional.

Another thing is how he is exposing the true colors of the republican party, how
the GOP is quick to embrace a racist message no matter who the individual is.

Yep 0bama will cream him, with hope n change, and it's all Bush's fault in the debates.  :whatever:

15. no, pizza man believes the shit he spews...... nt

He is a rocket scientist, so I'm fairly sure he understands things much better than some stoner posting at DU.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

and he does not want to be called African American.

And this is a crime?  Why?  Because he considers himself first and foremost an American?  Regardless of melanin content?  You know, that's resonating with a lot of people, DUmmie.

In other words unless a black man does just what we think he should there is something wrong with him.
Yet they call everyone else racists.

I think Cain scares the dummies to death. The 9-9-9 tax plan will make most of these losers have to pay something to the government and I'm sure that petrifies the dummies. Not to mention the raaaaaacist argument will not work either.

Boy, sucks to be a dummie right now.

I hope Skinner has industrial strength plastic tarps for the Island. It's gonna get messy over there. :-)

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Especially if Cain wins the election. Hell I may have to join up over there just so I can watch the meltdown live.

It will be important to have moles in place to bring over threads - If Cain wins the GOP nomination, and then the election, the discombobulation will be EPIC.

I suspect it will result in at least one of the following primitive actions ;

committal.
imprisonment.
suicide.
