Is it my computer or internet connection or do MSNBC pages load slow for everyone?

And I mean real slow. Takes forever and it seems like it has been taking even longer lately. Like molasses running up hill on a cool day.

5. Shoot I don't know my brother put it all together some years ago

I know the browser is Internet Explorer 8 if that helps.

The pages didn't start loading slow for me until recently so I think it may be my internet connection?

4. There is code in pages to sequence the ads first, so ad server overload impacts

The advertisers pay to be seen, so they make that come up first, before the content loads. This is a common feature, so I expect it is also your issue.

6. That is what it seems like is happening

I have to wait for all the ads to load before my mouse will scroll the page to read the content.

7. MSNBC has always loaded very slowly for me. I think it is the ads, too. I have Comcast high-speed internet and don't have problems with anyone at all on the net except MSNBC. I have a relatively new computer as well.

Their ad-overload is just tremendous. Some pages are worse than others; I think one is called First Read? The political update page?

If I want to see multiple stories on their site, I open several windows and click on stories in each one, then go back to see if the first one I clicked is open yet.

Rather interesting new avatar you have up there, sir.
Might I ask why you're wearing a thong?
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”
