I swear there used to be laws against shit like this.

My daughter unknowingly got involved in one with her car.

She has substantial equity in her car, and now they are putting the screws down.

She has a BBA and was laid off of her job. She got another job that paid much less.

Currently, she is two weeks late on her payment and can pay it Monday. They said they were sending a tow truck to get it if it isn't paid by tonight at 5pm.

Today, the Blue Book on that car is $15k. She owes less than $4k.

We are going to attempt to trade her out of it today.

I can't help her until next week with it--they are unrelenting.

But I will promise you one thing. If it comes down to this afternoon and she can't figure this out--they won't be picking up a car worth $15k. They will be picking up a car that is worth what is owed on it.

And that is a promise.

I think so.  I think she also got kicked out of an apartment or something too.  It's really hard to keep up with all the financial disasters of the DUmmies and their kids.  They lose money so fast it is mind boggling.

B.S.  No way did a bank threaten to repossess at 2 weeks late.  4 months maybe but not 2 weeks.

My guess is that her daughter is either way, way late on payments or her credit was so bad that she went to one of those "We'll make a loan to anyone" car lots.  If it's the later then she's probably unaware of the GPS placed in her vehicle by the car lot.  They expect a large number of customers to walk out on their loan so they make it very easy to find the vehicle when it happens.

I just noticed yesterday that a couple of those type cal lots have gone out of business here....things must be getting bad when you can't scam the DUmmies.

It's great that Horse with no Brain has decided to advance her slutty-daughter storyline. She must have been inspired by coach's continuing his nadin saga.

I think she knows about the GPS, because I believe it was part of an earlier chapter in the story. It was around the time her shackup skipped out and left her with payments on the widescreen, and an iPhone contract she bought for the guy.

So anyway, riddle me this: No Brain has been talking about moving out of the single-wide, into an old abandoned farmhouse. Her dick inspection business can expand there, so to speak, and she's been all excited about buying this dump and leaving the dusty, crappy Texas trailer park. She wants us to believe she can buy this fallen down hovel in the sticks, and relocate all her inspection equipment, but she can't cough up $4K to save her slutty daughter? A lousy four thousand bucks?

And what's a BBA? Does she mean she uses her BBA in BBW DVDs?

And when did we have laws that prevented a repo when you quit paying your car loan?

If she vandalizes the car to the point where it's only worth the $4K owed on it, who does she think is losing the $11K?
If the bank gets its $4K, it doesn't care if the slutty daughter gets her equity back or not.

Bingo.  I loaned a guy money for a motorcycle.  He quit making the payments and I repo'd it.  I sold it in a week and made another $500.00 on the deal.  WHY didn't this idiot do the same thing?  He could have sold the bike and paid me off and kept the $500.00 himself.

Same question for the DUmbass.  If it is really worth $15k sell the damn thing for $6k and keep the extra.

Told her to hide it until Monday and then bring it back and they would trade her out of it. Even offered to buy it for what she owes on it and then tack on their own fee and then refinance it.
They also agreed that the deal was bogus and gave her a number to call regarding the shady business practices. Also told her that they can't steal her equity in her car.

It was very informative.

Why not loan the daughter the money?

Is that only something that the government should do?

I've sold stuff on payments and if someone has a problem I will work with them on it....the first time. If it is habitual, which I suspect is so due to the "Acorn Rule", then I have taken the item back.  I could be wrong but if in any of those instances my property was damaged I would have the police out to arrest the person. It is still my property until paid for. The DUchebag should learn the difference between 'registered' owner and 'lien' holder.

Other than that the story is pure bouncy and would have been better if the DUmmy could have used the enemy of the day BofA into the fable.

This little family gets into more troubles than anyone I've ever seen.  And all these stories have 95% of the details excised from them. 

This is what I'm reminded of.  Neal Boortz was telling a caller, who was in law school, what one of his law professors told him.  "Your very worst enemy in your law practice will be your client.  One tiny hidden piece of information withheld by this client can destroy your case."  Imagine what being a lawyer for Horse would be like.  Something would always be blowing up in your face.  But you didn't tell me that!  You didn't ask!!

They were rude and condescending.

Told her that her car was scheduled to be repoed.  

The lady told her that the bank was tired of all of the late payments by everyone and was going to start cracking down on everyone and start picking up cars and stop extending payments.

Personally? I think they are bullying her because she owes about $2k on a car that books out at $16k and they want to find a way to take it.

I told her this bank wasn't anything but a tote-the-note lot.

Ultimately, they did give her the extension...but they did it after demeaning her and worrying her.

So, in the six months since April, value of the car has declined by $1K, but the balance on her note has doubled from $2K to $4K.

It's possible there's some lying going on here. In fact, I smell a swarm of earwigs.
