Because I got to spend 6 or 7 hours at the Denver airport yesterday and I sure saw a lot of old hippie types wandering around.

I wish.

I'll bet the cold weather that's coming will do them in, though.

its kinda spreading
there were some new city's with "Occupy Here" protests

they still dont know what they want, other than to occupy. the ones that do know what they want are being "shushed" when they mention socialism/communism intentions.

big labor is openly nudging from within their ranks with support

they aggressively hounded a news crew in CA. i thought they would want the attention.

Nah. They soon plan to Occupy Nova Scotia soon (they start the 15th). What I find hilarious is they plan to camp on the Halifax Common (a park) which is not only illegal if I recall, but some plan to sleep in tents and it's already hitting almost -2C most nights.

The sad thing is we have more important things we should protest in NS. They need to chose one thing and protest it. Hell I'd go to a protest against NS Power in a second.

There were about 13 old & new hippies at occupy Hartford yesterday - unfortunately for them regular people in CT said:

YOU CAN HAVE HARTFORD, WE DON'T WANT IT!!
nine eleven is a car
nine one one is an emergency service
September 11, 2001 was an attack
Never Forget, or Minimize.

If they want to Occupy Detroit, I have a suggestion.

Refreshments available!
Capitalism is based on self-interest and self-esteem; it holds integrity and trustworthiness as cardinal virtues and makes them pay off in the marketplace, thus demanding that men survive by means of virtue, not vices. It is this superlatively moral system that the welfare statists propose to improve upon by means of preventative law, snooping bureaucrats, and the chronic goad of fear.

Well that's just Denver for ya.  All the people that moved there who were too crazy for California and the overflow from the People's Republic of Boulder.

Boulder...  Just the name is enough to make me shudder.   :(

Their stupidity and ignorance is legend.

There was the group of idiots from Boulder riding their bikes down a two-lane highway between my place and town.  At least the van I passed a couple miles further said something about a Boulder bike trekking club.  We had just loaded three pods of cattle and I was going ahead to order some burgers and whatnot at the cafe for them, so the drivers and cattle wouldn't have to wait as long.  I had to really lay on the brakes when I came upon their group.  I get around them and warn them about the three semis headed that way and that those trucks would have a harder time stopping if they didn't see them well ahead.  One of the guys said, "Wow.  We didn't know anyone used this road."   :mental:
