It's One of Those 57 States

Quote
The best and brightest at work here. Amazingly, the super genius in the White House never noticed this gaffe.

Looks like someone in the White House press office needs to brush up on their U.S. geography.

The press office issued credentials to those reporters and photojournalists who are covering the president’s trip this week to Washington state, California, and Colorado. The credential even provides a handy graphic highlighting (in white) which states the president will visit.

    The only problem?

Wyoming is highlighted, not Colorado. ...

That's what you get when you combine a liberal education and affrimative action.

1 + 1 = potatoe

Remember, he spelled it right before the teacher told him it had a "E" on the end.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

I'm surprised they didn't just use one of those "Jesusland" maps the DUmmies are always mouth-breathing over.

I don't know why schools abandoned geography.  Even my schools did.  I remember like one class in the 5th grade, then it was never touched again.  You have to have a personal interest, and learn it on your own, or your parents pushed you to learn it on your own time.  Why is this?  I always get the "Rivers" type questions on Jeopardy wrong or don't know.

8th Grade Social Studies -- the whole damned year was spent poring over maps and filling in the entire continents with names of countries.

Really bizarre, obscure shit like Lesotho, Swaziland, and Suriname -- still stuck in my brain like peanut butter on the roof of my mouth.  :lmao:

Geography is combined with Social Studies (location, etc) and also with Science (formations, etc) nowadays.  My son learns a little in both classes.   I guess there aren't enough teachers around to have geography as its own class.

I know, right?  Now that I'm all grown up, none of the countries I learned about even exist anymore!

Maybe he's going to the small, non-existent town of Denver, Wyoming.

Hope his bus driver isn't following his boss' driving directions.

Mercy!  I hope none of those idiots end up here!  Sorry Colorado, but we really don't want them.

Of course he's not going to visit Wyoming--they're not going to vote for him anyway.  At least he MIGHT win Washington and Colorado, but at the rate he's going, he'll get NY, MA, and CA, and that's about it.
