My plant is doing something I've never seen before...

I'm rooting it in a vase of water and yesterday, this is what I saw:

What follows are two pictures that are supposed to be of a plant in a vase, but the whole thing ends up being overshadowed by the dust and water spots on the window and the vase.

1. Oh, I think it will! Look at the little sprout near the bottom.

CalPeggy has a green thumb!

Calpig has a dirty thumb.

3. My dear pacalo!

I *might* have a green thumb if the plant is indestructible, lol!

That's what I'm talking about...that little leaf under water!

Never saw anything quite like that before...

You could see a lot more through your vases and windows, if you washed them first.

Thanks for the tip!

I'm not concerned about how well this is coming along...

I was just amazed to see the little leaf growing under water!

Thanks for the tip?  Seriously?   :thatsright:

7. Imagine the leaf's shock when it FOUND itself under water.

Imagine the leaf's shock when it found itself in that dirty vase.

Haven't you leaned anything from 'the secret diaries of nadin'?  Mere housework is beneath such luminary creatives.  It stifles the spirit.

Cleaning is for squares, man.
If you want to worship an orange pile of garbage with a reckless disregard for everything, get on down to Arbys & try our loaded curly fries.

Washing has a way of harshing the mellow of dirt, I gather.

Ladies,

Would you take a picture of a vase in your house, with a window in the background looking like that, and with such a dirty vase?

Chakras work better when accompanied by BO and greasy upholstery.

Never.

Funny thing, Peggy has a housekeeper.  Maybe the housekeeper doesn't do vases.   :-)

All moonbat women keep dirty homes.  Their pictures prove it.

I wouldn't expect his wife to do the cleaning.  She's too busy earning a paycheck and keeping a roof over his head.

In somewhat of a defense for CalPeg, CA is dirty. I cleaned my windows both indoor and out more in the two years I lived in CA than I did in our last house in Texas. I don't know what it is about CA grime and how absolutely filthy your house gets even a day after you clean but CA is gross.

Her vase is filthy as well, that I'm not going to defend.  CalPeg...wash your vase. Also, be mindful of your background. If CalPeg had clean windows normally she would have caught this before she took the picture.

I looked at the picture of the plant. It almost looks like it's trying to escape.

my dear Peggy, it's called a Pothos Ivy. It would grow anywhere. You gave it water. That is all it needed.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

It's really unusual for a DUmmy to grow something you can't smoke.

What, no poem about a tiny root in a dirty vase on a dusty windowsill looking out of a filthy window, Peg?

"If God built me a ladder to heaven, I would climb it and elbow drop the world."
Mick Foley

"I am a very good shot. I have hunted for every kind of animal. But I would never kill an animal during mating season."
Hedy Lamarr

"I'm just like any modern woman trying to have it all. Loving husband, a family. It's just, I wish I had more time to seek out the dark forces and join their hellish crusade."
Morticia Addams

She's amazed at her talent and accomplishment for having this common houseplant take root in a glass of water?  Enough to bother to take a picture (opening yourself up for commentary), and create a whole thread at the DUmp?  A housecat could do that.

You can plop one in a fishtank too.  I'm a little amused that she's getting a big kick out of that.  I've got plants in water all over my house and yes, leaves can sprout under the water.  Oooooooh.

It's !@#$ing ivy, for crying out loud.  And yes, true to liberal form, the windows are disgustingly filthy.  No doubt the rest of the house has food particles and pet stains all over, and some form of pest infestation.  The rest of the dirty liberals at DU live the same way.
