Isn't he disgusting? I don't know who I dislike more - Carney or Gibbs.

Gibbs was insufferable.  I can't say I've paid any attention to Carney.

I find both of them puke worthy.

I cancelled my cable, so I watch zero TV now.  I don't even get C-SPAN.  I can't say I miss it much.

We cancelled about ten years ago. We dont miss it. In fact it made things a lot easier. And less aggravating.

I watch Fox News online when I want. And we download movies and tv series commercial free whenever we want.

We still have a TV. Its like new. But its for 'decoration'. Its a paper weight.

We dont watch ANY TV and we are still FAR more informed than the average bloke or lemming or whatever.

>>> a top Republican aide told Fox News that GOP leaders have decided they are not going to slam the president's plan quite as aggressively as some would expect, in part because polls show the public is frustrated with all sides in Washington right now.

"We're going to be very positive, say we want to work with him," the aide said, >>>

GOP "leaders" have no common sense. Zip. zero, nada.

They think we dont approve of (frustrated with) congress because they're too divisive against the president? Really?? TOO DIVISIVE???

Hell, they are not divisive enough from where I stand. I wish they'd stop trying to be so nice and take the damn gloves off already!

Good on Bachmann.

when asked if i disapprove of congress i say yes. because of the 90% of congressman that i disagree with keep the status quo alive and well, which is the problem with congress.  they need to be more divisive with all establishment DC'ers.

Bachmann’s Response to President Obama’s Speech to a Joint Session of Congress

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-6) hosted a press conference and responded tonight to President Obama’s Jobs Speech. Below are her remarks as delivered:

Unfortunately, it seems, every time the President speaks, his policies have cost the American people jobs and future prosperity.

Tonight the President under the veil of one of the most sacred deliberative forums, a joint session of Congress, delivered another political speech where he doubled down on more of the same policies that are killing the economy.

Mr. President, what among your proposals was new? What here hasn’t already been tried and failed before?

While the President’s speech comes on the heels of a trillion dollars of failed stimulus, bailouts, and temporary gimmicks aimed at creating jobs, the President continued to cling to the idea that government is the solution to creating jobs.

Great response. Right on the money... and a lot better than I'd expect to hear from "Mr Nice Guy" Boehner.

But where is the coverage of this on the MSM? Its not even on Drudge ... ?

PBS alters transcript to hide Obama gaffe

Barack Obama has gone to Congress asking for more money to spend. The President, in a rambling and tedious exercise mixing blame with demands, made quite a few dubious statements in laying out the case for Congress to vote for the plan which as yet does not exist. Much like Obamacare, Congress must ultimately vote for the bill to know what is in it.

At one point Mr. Obama made a major gaffe; he identified Abraham Lincoln as the founder of the Republican Party.

Such a gaffe would have brought huge amounts of ridicule and derision on George W. Bush, but in the case of Obama the media yawned.

Actually, they did more than yawn; government-funded PBS has altered the transcript of the President's speech, removing the offending comment.
