Despite repeated assurances from President Obama and military leaders that the U.S. would not send uniformed military personnel into Libya, four U.S. service members arrived on the ground in Tripoli over the weekend.

According to Pentagon spokesman Capt. John Kirby, the four unidentified troops are there working under the State Department's chief of mission to assist in rebuilding the U.S. Embassy.

Kirby noted the embassy in Tripoli was badly damaged during the conflict

Of course we had boots on the ground. Even as technologically advanced as we are an air campaign cannot be conducted without people on the ground.
Some may quivel over whether or not forward air controllers and spotter teams constitute "boots on the ground" as opposed to actual infantry with a ground mission but nonetheless one cannot escape the fact that this is yet another American war without the consent of congress.

Lord Zer0 was more concerned with how the U.N. felt about it than congress, that impudent bunch that never do as he directs.

The Marines were there 200 years ago...the ARMY passed thru there 65-70 years ago...why don't we just take the place and stay there this time.

Oh yeah, the obligatory chant........

NO WAR FOR OIL......NO WAR FOR OIL.....

...or with the way Obama has been doing things it may be....

NO OIL FOR WAR......NO OIL FOR WAR........
