That's news to me, too, and I follow the news.

I thought here was significant damage and inconvenience over there; not as much as had been feared, but still significant.

Maybe I was reading the news wrong out here; remember we get our stuff via the Pony Express.

Tons of flooding inland in NJ and NY.

Same with VT.

Chase her even when she's yours.

We're doing fine, thanks for asking, a lot of towns though in our area and in other Counties are doing really bad, worst flooding ever it seems.

Well the good thing about this storm is we're getting a generator and my Husband isn't even arguing about it, his Mother just got power back and he realizes we need something to fall back on just in case.
If you have reliable gas service, consider a coversion kit.
I suppose many of us folks on the gulf might scoff at the rain y'all got.
Seems down here, we're pretty flat, and it spreads out.
Up that way, there's a few more gullys for it to concentrate in and cause problems.
Bear with it, you now a life-long memory.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Camping World is selling a Champion 4,000/3,500 watt model for $300 (Good Sam Club member price).  And NO, that's not a typo.  Rated to run 12 hours at 50% load on 4 gallons of gas.

I'm looking to get one myself.   :-)
