I think the free pony threads are hilarious.  The DUmmies look to be about 5 years old when they do this.

what else can be given away free to....save society $$$$ (besides birth control)
 This recent news story about offering free birth control made me think what else could be given away free or discounted to save society money and make it function more efficient/effectively.

Some things I thought of.....

1. Healthy foods/Beverages/Nutritional supplements
2. Anti-Depressants (Paxil, zoloft, Prozac)
3. Health club memberships/ athletic equipment/ clothes/tennis shoes (things to make people get active)
4. Computer and internet access
5. College education

Wanted to see what people can come up with. Agree with mine or can you think of any others????
 

Give me free food!  Make those farmers/packers/processers/truckers/stockers work for nothing, 'cause I'm so special, they should want to do it just to be a good person!!!!!

6. Why depressants?
 why not all pharmaceuticals. Diabetics should only get medication if they can pay but depressed people shouldn't have to? What if they're diabetic and depressed? Better if all pharmaceuticals are free.

Therapy for sure needs to be free, both physical and mental and emotional.

Public transportation. Not much sense having a job if you can't get there.

Quality day care.

Tutoring or other remediation.

At least one vacation per year.

Dentistry and doctoring of course.

 

Of course.  And this year I think I want to go to The Atlantis.  Make sure I get plenty of gambling money, because that's my R & R!  It's very important.

I'm afraid it would require too much iniative, and even physical ability, for them to use it reliably.  A pre-loaded pistol would obviate these disadvantages, though of course I do expect a depressing level of poor marsksmanship...perhaps this could be overcome by attaching a stylish rainbow headband to the muzzle...

And some of those items they mention are pretty pricey.  A college education?  Week's vacation?  Good God, what are they thinking.  Would you like to go on a goverment-issued and approved vacation?  What would it be, exactly?  Probably Community Service. 

The guy who said "weed" killed the thread, and it fell into disgrace, I found it on page 4.  I think even the DUmpmonkeys were embarrassed by it.
