London burning.
« on: August 08, 2011, 05:58:49 PM »
The "youths" looked like they could have been Moose-limbs to me but CBS News just said "youths"....so I guess it's Methodist youths.

Oh and one article I read blamed it on a death of a 29 year old youth and the lowering of social services.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

This is the direct result of the long standing policy to import all the savagery and poverty that can be found in the worst shitholes on earth and then giving it a lifetime freebie card.

Yes.  The riots started after a 29 year old was "executed" by police.  I'm not 100% sure why the looting is happening.  Never let a good crisis go to waste?

London (CNN) -- There is much speculation surrounding the circumstances of the death of 29-year-old Mark Duggan in north London on Thursday. His shooting at the hands of police while he was riding in a cab sparked a weekend of rioting and looting across the capital that continued into Monday.

Officers from Operation Trident -- the Metropolitan Police unit that deals with gun crime in London's black communities -- stopped the cab during an attempted arrest and soon afterwards shots were fired, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said. Duggan, a father of four, was fatally wounded.

Here are some of the demands from protestors, according to Reuters:

Increase personal tax brackets for top earners
Enshrine the right to housing in the law; introduce rent controls; boost mortgage relief
Stop further privatization of things such as health facilities
Provide free education for all from the age of three months
Raise the minimum wage to 50 percent of the average wage

Dear lord, it's over.  Human stupidity has reached critical mass.

1) Soak the rich - further killing off jobs.
2) "Enshrine the right to housing"....  WTF?  Where are you going to get the slaves to build these homes?  How @$%$ing STUPID can people be?
3) Stop privatization of things such as health facilities...  okay, because the government is SOOOOOOOOO good at running things (into the ground).
4) Provide free education for all from the age of three months?  WTF do you want, free baby sitting?  I would be for this if I were the sole arbiter of the study material (chapter 1: your parents are morons...)
5) Raise the minimum wage to 50% of the average wage?  No faster way to kill off jobs than to set arbitrary floors on wages.  You cannot @$@%ing legislate around the laws of economics, you brainless wonders.

I'm afraid that we're entering the second dark ages.  People around the world have gone bonkers.  The good news is, when all of this is over, population growth will no longer be a problem.
