Republican Memo of the Day:

Don't let them blame us or the Tea Partiers for this downgrade in our credit rating. We need to go out strong today and blame it on Obama and the big spenders in our government.

Never mind that it would never have happened if we had not made a big deal out of a routine vote and threatened to not pay our creditors.

We know that the Democrats will not fight back on this issue. We need to get out early and put this squarely on the shoulders of Barack Obama. Go get 'em gang!

Everyday Kentuck shows just how clueless he is. First of all raising the debt ceiling was not routine this time, we have blown away all previous records of spending and deficits and adding another 2 trillion is not a good idea, secondly if you had been paying attention Kentuck, the Tea Party said that we would still have enough revenue to pay our lenders and pay SS, our military and other important things, we would just have to prioritize spending and be responsible for once. Lucky for 0bama the establishment republicans stepped in and allowed 0bama to increase spending with no actual cuts, just a promise of nickle and dime cuts over ten years that will never materialize. S and P has been watching our govt spend like drunken sailors for years and finally said we need to do something about it, and once again we didn't, so naturally they downgraded us. The downgrade is not about the debt ceiling possibly not being raised, it's not about not taxing the hell out of everyone, it's irresponsible spending practices that the democrats refuse to address.

2. "We know that the Democrats will not fight back on this issue."

This is what we Democrats do. We DO NOT fight back. Obama DID NOT fight back. He did not ask the base to fight the Repukes on any of this.

0bama fought the Tea Party tooth and nail, every bill that would actually work he threatened to veto, and Reid stopped in the senate. You morons act like the Tea Party got what they want. When in reality other than tax hikes on everyone but you, you goons got what you wanted.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Uh huh.

I don't think Republicans and Tea Party patriots got everything we wanted.

I'm utterly dissatisfied with the budget-debt deal, but of course it was the best John Boehner and Eric Cantor could get; after all, the Democrats control the White House and the Senate, and the Supreme Court is still to the left of mainstream America.....so it's not like one-half of one-third of the federal government could get much from the other two-and-a-half.

I dunno about anybody else, but I wanted bigger cuts and less taxes, and right now, not down the road.

The way I figure it, we got about 25-33% of what we really wanted, and only about 10-15% of what can really solve the problem.  But that's politics.

I honestly believe we will not see a single cut from this, once again we will be handed a bunch of accounting tricks and gimmicks. Then in 2013 the dems will regain control of all 3 houses and we will sink straight to the bottom.

The spending cuts and empty promises will dwarf the amount of new spending that will happen once this agreement is signed by the President.  As for 2012/2013, I can't say.

Actually it wouldn't of happened if Obama and Democrats agreed to rein in spending, but keep trying to convince yourselves that the American people on election day are going to blame Republicans and the Tea Party.
