I aint fraid of no ghost (of shutdowns past).

Look. The GOP are the ones with the plan. Even mainstream media have mention that there are NO democrat plans.
Obama hasn't offered one. Your fellow rats haven't even made a budget for the last two years! Heck, if the democrats did their job, this year's budget would have been fixed Sept 2010.

Certain;y Obama and the rats have fought tooth and nail at every juncture. Reid can't even cut funding for a gay cowboy poetry reading event. (OK, its not a gay event, but when you add cowboys and poetry and becomes a total homo-ho-down)

The GOP has been everywhere saying this is a spending problem, not a tax problem. All you guys want to do is tax the employers into leaving the country.

Seriously, we have spent more money in the last three years then all of US history combined.
Its not Bush's fault...its yours.
All this spending created the Tea Party.
All this spending put the tea party in charge of states all across the nation.
All this spending means WE get to count the votes and stop your fraud.
All this spending woke America up, and she slapped you down hard last November.
I can't wait till 2012.

In the whole picture that coming across (even on the MSM), its the Republicans who are offering a solution. The rats? They offer nothing but the same outa control spending that put the Tea Party in control of the House.

If your only answer to outa control spending is, "tax the rich," then we will win everything in 2012.

 Edit to add: I don't even fear that SS and welfare will stop...it won't. Its already come out that there is a lot of cash in the accts and it would be a political decision to stop it. If it stops, its OBAMA'S FAULT.

What I look forward to is all the govt union types who will go without, yep. I would like to see that.
so in short its your turn to back down, or some of your most loyal voters go hungry...Heh.

I think that both McCain and my fellow alum, the junior senator from Maine (Susan Collins), would vote to overturn Obamacare.  The senior senator from Maine might not . . . unless Snowe is the junior and Collins is the senior.  How 'bout I rephrase it this way--Collins and McCain would vote to overturn; Snowe, maybe not.

Actually, one thing that probably isn't in the cards on August 3 is a government shutdown.  Except for the FAA, everything is still fully authorized, and both civil service and military pay will likely be higher on the priority list than the cut line for the revenue that is still coming in.

If you pay the interest on a debt you are not in DEFAULT. That. Is. All.

There is more than enough taxes coming in to pay the interest, SS, Medicare, and the military. Even enough to pay for Medicaid. the rest is just unneeded excess government spending.

Not raising the debt limit is the best way to keep within our means.
