You will note for the official record, you will find not one USAF shirt.    Just saying.

I'm pretty sure that Carmen Miranda-lookalike comes with twig and berries (to go along with the rest of the fruit on his hat).

You can also note that there is a plurality of Marines shirts, with Navy shirts a close second. IJS

It would have been easier to spot the fakes if they'd tried wearing uniforms.

There is a reason there are no USAF shirts, they want people to think they are actually in the military.

I looked at the pictures, and wondered just how many of them are actually in the military...or ever been in the military?

I seriously doubt there were more than a couple who are AD. And probably the same or a few more who are no longer AD.

Makes for a good propaganda photo though... ::)

I had thought the same thing, actually, but the reality is we'll never know how many of them are AD -- unless a big shitstorm happens and there's a story in the Navy Times or some other AD publication. And then at that point, the little turdburglars that ARE AD get to deal with that issue with their chain of command for demonstrating on a political issue while representing (at least in a manner of speaking) their respective service.

I think there's a good chance that more than a couple of them are AD. Some of the haircuts are a little longish, but apart from that, they're all young enough.  :whatever:

Isn't DADT still in effect?  Didn't some judge recently rule that it was?

IIRC, most recently, some federal judge/9th Circus/appeals court or some such basically told DoD to get off its ass and pretend like it's going away.

The assholes keep forgetting that there's a federal statute on it -- DADT isn't a policy, it's a law.

DoD has, in fact, been marching along as though it's going away. All kinds of "sensitivity training" is going on to make the little fudgepackers feel welcome and at home in uniform.  :whatever:

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday answered the Obama administration’s plea that the military’s gay ban be allowed to remain in effect by once again lifting the world-wide injunction halting enforcement, but did so with one stipulation: the military still cannot investigate or discharge soldiers under the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) rule.

The order means that while the military can still refuse to allow the enlistment of potential soldiers who are known to be gay or lesbian, the army cannot continue with separation proceedings against those already within the ranks.

It is, but it hasn't "officially" been overturned until the service chiefs decide how to implement it.  That being said, any discharges based on DADT are currently on hold, meaning the 75-80 percent of discharges under DADT previously for little shitbags who didn't want to deploy, etc., now have to find another way to get out of doing their ****ing jobs.

One of the reasons I didn't think they were, is because there was too much similarity in the shirts....like someone raided a shop and bought all that they could and handed them out.

Another, when T was in, they were supposed to be a apolitical as possible, and stay out of "public" type situations that would call attention to themselves or the military. Maybe it was different in the Seattle area...they aren't too fond of the military up there.  :(

Why would a gay AD risk getting into trouble for this? I would think they already have enough to deal with at work, especially when their work is really 24/7 as opposed to a 40 hour work week in a job that no one cares about one's sexual orientation.

It's not difficult being an AF brat --

-- as long as you understand that it's the only service that sends its officers out to fight while leaving the enlisted guys back home.

If by "sends out" you mean some guy piloting a UAV from 10K miles away pushing a button and getting a Bronze Star for it.

Notice the Air Force version of the MRE package, ingeniously designed domestic urban camouflage pattern used where "in country" means right here, in THIS country.

All those new T-Shirts make me think that someone was just passing them out to any fag that had short enough hair to look like they were in the military.
