I wonder if he hurt himself here:
Herman Cain: Americans Have The Right To Ban Mosques In Their Communities
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/07/17/herman-cain-fox-mosques_n_900939.html
I know, I know... It's the Huffington post, but he did say it.
I was watching the show on Sunday morning when he said it. Chris Wallace did everything he could to give HC a way out of what he said....but he didn't take it.
Thing is...Cain's right.
Murfreesboro is a college town, and becoming a bedroom community for Franklin and Nashville. Maybe not as many liberals there as over toward Memphis, but certainly a whole lot more than here in the eastern part of the state.
They don't want a mosque there, and they should not be forced to accept one. Mosques are not just a place of worship, they are a learning center for hate. Hate directed toward ALL other religions. To the best of my knowledge, most other religions promote peace, love and getting along with others even if their views are different.
Obviously there have been a lot of comments in our local paper here, regarding this...and I am amazed at how many people are making the comment that with banning a mosque, who's religion will be next. And likening it to the Holocaust.
Cain was/is right....but he might have thought twice about his answer, or how he phrased it. As Ann Coulter said last night on RedEye...this might have cost him the presidential nomination.
I hope not...because I think he would be a good president based on what I have seen so far. Especially if he picked a VP with some good knowledge of international politics.
