2. what the rich won't do to avoid paying taxes...
the 'american revolution' was a tax revolt, not a populist uprising.
Me again: Yeah, it was only for the "rich!"

14. An example of a successfull revolution
2006 and 2008. The Democratic Party took the congress, and then the presidency.
---------Every election is a peaceful revolution. those two election cycles prove we can win in spite of fraud and propaganda.

BUT. We do not focus on the roots, only on the national side.

look at another American revolution. The Tea Baggers. They started small with a few modest national victories but massive statehouse wins. They are hard core conservatives, and their revolt is just as much against establishment GOP as against everything else we hold dear. They succeeded in planting thousands of career politicians who will build a resume, a constituency and from there: go national. Baggers have made themselves a generational fixture. We will be denigrating baggers for the next 20 years.

But we can learn from them. The lesson of Wisconsin is local politics do affect national policy.
Progressives likewise need to revolt against the DNC types and reclaim the party.

As for violent revolution. No. I do not support such things in the US. We have a long history of peaceful change in power.

and one cannot compare Egypt to Wisconsin. Egypt was a repressive state and the people yearned for freedom. We are free, the people comfortable, and there is no groundswell for violent means of change.
Since change is a peaceful event here, THERE IS NO NEED FOR VIOLENCE.

I believe this enough to stand armed against any revolution, bagger or Che.
Don't count me out, count me as an enemy.

Lastly, Unrec.

Well, poor old Che doesn't have quite the sex appeal he used to, does he?  They removed the pic at the thread.  I'm surprised the thread is even there at all.

It's not.

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

That photo is really what you call a head shot.
Club Gitmo needs to market that one on a T-shirt.

I was eating breakfast when I saw that photo.  Bad timing.  But you're right, that would be a solid Club Gitmo shirt.
