The Casey Anthony juggernaut is simply the latest example.

Ok I am a knuckle dragging freeper so maybe that is why I don't understand this brilliant statement.
Can someone tell me what I am missing?

1. False Slack is better than no Slack at all

And half of the people you meet are dumber than average.

And they post at DU.

You are as dumb as a freeper then.  :-)

4. The powers that be are forcing people into focusing on distractions

rather than real issues. They have saturated the media with things like American Idol and the Casey Anthony trial. They get the sheep to focus on this nonsense in order to distract them from real issues.

Many people in this country are kept ignorant and are slaves of the mind. It's like The Matrix. People are kept in a fantasy world, but in reality they are slaves, serving the needs of the people who are in control and they don't even realize it.

There is some truth to that, after all if it hadn't of been for Rush, I would have been clueless that 0bama was forced to admit that stimulus didn't work.

10. And I weep for the hundreds of thousands killed in war or die from the

lack of healthcare or cannot feed their families while millions of my countrymen are distracted by the Pavlovian bell of the mainstream media signalling a new feast of irrelevance and distraction is being served.

Please do not mistake pity for superiority.

Cheers!

Oh please all you care about is what freebies you can get from the govt.
Liberals try to pretend that they care so much for other people and that is the real reason why they want so many freebies.

6. TV audiences and hours watched are declining

The average age of an FNC viewer in primetime is 68 years old. TV will soon be as dead as Casey Anthony's daughter.

Such class at DU. For such a caring bunch of people you don't seem to give a rats ass about a dead little girl. I'm guessing it was just a really late abortion to these goons.

So true, and sadly people have become slaves to the Democrat party and have no clue they have become slaves.

21. Our freedoms didn't disappear, our liberties and rights weren't

taken away from us. Rather, Americans willingly, by accepting government-sponsored fear tactics, have given them away.

True, except for the fact that a certain beverage named group has woken up and started to fight against it.
Meanwhile the  left has double downed on their fear mongering.

So the people who want the voiceless slaughtered in utero and the survivors to have every health, diet, educational, social, occupational, political, metaphysical and recreational decision made by faceless cabals of bureaucrats who in turn have no moral compass but only the impersonal data of actuarial tables are complaining about slaves not knowing they are slaves.

You have to remember to the DUmmies, having to get up in the morning and go to work is slavery.

Mmmm...veal parmigiana is the menu for tonight. I need a step up from all that grilling.
If I had a pasture I'd raise a veal herd. And a big flock of foie gras ducks.
And I'd feed them all HFCS.

 I support this.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

I live in a country of freeloaders that think they are entitled to my hard work.

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I heard Dingy Harry on the radio saying that not taxing people higher is a give away to the rich.

Well guess what Dummy? You depend on the government for your existence... you are a slave. Me? Nada. When I retire I won't need SS, not that it will be there. I don't need the government now to survive.

What I need is to get the government to keep taking all my hard earned money and giving it to slaves like yourself.

Design is iteration, should have seen this before;

I live in a country of freeloaders that think that I am their slave.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

This could be the inspiration for a new video from Li'l Ava, the chinless Alabama butterball.
Wonder how she's doing in the Big Apple.
We haven't heard much from her since her days as the Anne Frank of the DUmp.

Social security cheats.
Regressive liberals.

You're point is what?
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”
