U.S. Is Intensifying a Secret Campaign of Yemen Airstrikes

Quote
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has intensified the American covert war in Yemen, exploiting a growing power vacuum in the country to strike at militant suspects with armed drones and fighter jets, according to American officials.  The acceleration of the American campaign in recent weeks comes amid a violent conflict in Yemen that has left the government in Sana, a United States ally, struggling to cling to power. Yemeni troops that had been battling militants linked to Al Qaeda in the south have been pulled back to the capital, and American officials see the strikes as one of the few options to keep the militants from consolidating power.

Sorry for the multiple format edits.  I am all about killing deranged muslims but it looks like this asshole has no clue as to how to do it legally.

Hi,

First Libya now Yemen.  Can you imagine the role the press and libs would have taken had Bush acted like this without congressional approval.  Impeachment proceeding would we well underway.

So, yeah, about that republican house...

At the federal level, Article Two of the United States Constitution (Section 4) states that "The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors." The House of Representatives has the sole power of impeaching, while the United States Senate has the sole power to try all impeachments. The removal of impeached officials is automatic upon conviction in the Senate.

I am sure it has crossed their mind but there is no way the LIBERAL senate would go forward with it against their lord Obongo.

So why try, eh?

Way to go, GOP.  It's a good thing this hasn't been a bitter disappointment.

Any attempt to impeach ObeyWon would probably result in mass rioting and no conviction in the senate.  A futile attempt that would only guarantee The Wons reelection.

I strongly support zotting the goat-sex reeking little bastards wherever they are found regardless of how many nations that may entail and the president not only has the constitutional authority he has the moral obligation. I'm not going to renounce that fact just because Obama is a clueless asshole.

In Obama's case I believe he has pretty much left the SecDef on auto-pilot because he has other priorities/vacations but there is nothing wrong with killing people who actively plot to kill Americans.

Lest we forget: Hasan shot up Ft Hood taking his cues from Awlaki who is in Yemen. The would-be Xmas Knicker-bomber as well.

Yemen owes us blood.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

It's called, "picking your battles."  Please show me where Obama has committed anything worthy of the moniker of high crimes and misdemeanors.

Giving the finger to Congress over his refusal to seek approval past 60 days as required by the War Powers Act MIGHT be that in some circles, but given the fact that the War Powers Act is unconstitutional on its face as it gives the legislative branch powers it was never intended to have under the framers of the Constitution means, in a perverse sort of way, Obama is right on this issue.

Look how the left reacts to anything.  Kinda like Muslims--faux outrage and rioting.

Whens the last time the left rioted?

Wisconsin when the 19 corruptocrats fled the state to prevent passage of that collective bargaining bill. They stormed the capital building, blockaded employees inside their offices, vandalized the place and threatened Republican senators.

And if you'd like any other examples, just head on over to Zombietime.com and take your pick of "protests", "gatherings", etc.

Thats not a riot. Riots involve looting and burning down things.

The unionists caused 7 million dollars in damage to the capital building. Destruction is not just burning down things.

Bullshit.  Over seven MILLION dollars damage to the Wisconsin Capitol building isn't semblance of a riot?

And how about the WTO back in 1999?  Seattle, you remember that, don't you?  All those right-wingers--oh wait, those were leftists and anarchists.  Silly me.
