For the last 20 some on years working with Asians who were both legal and illegal, they all had one thing in common.  They saved their money to buy gold, it became common to run into them with their children at the mall and the baby's would be wearing ankle bracelets made of Asian gold.    This Gold is cut with some other metal then European gold and has a different color then we have, it almost looks fake to us.  Most is 18-24 carrot Gold and a simple necklace could cost $500-600 bucks 20 years ago.

Head to china town in any city and oggle the stuff in the Asian Jewelry stores, A small Jade pendent with a gold chain can or did back then cost $1500. I cannot imagine today the cost of the same pendent. BTW
I was told that the lighter the Jade the more rare and expensive it is.   A dark green is relatively cheap or phony.

Gold has been part of everyones culture for 10,000 years.  Australia and California had its gold rushes at almost the same time in the 1840's.  Gold coating on teeth came into vogue and still hangs in there.

Wedding rings of gold and broaches were made of gold, but for some reason few collected gold after we went off the gold standard when Linburgers baby was kidnapped.
---Public school education taught me that that the ransome was paid in gold notes that became worthless to the kidnappers.

Gold, that wonderful mineral that adorns the heads of state, The religious shrines about the world.   The cause of genocide in South America and Central America by the Spanish.

Gold Dubloons conjures up visions of Pirates and their hidden booty, the people in America that gave a meaning to 2 bit 4 bit, meaning a gold piece would be bitten into to use the piece to pay for something.

Gold. the great quest for humans, to this day people still pan for gold, gold is the common dominate in all races and cultures.

Had I instead of putting my money into a savings bank for 3% interest spent it on gold these last 20 years as I was told to do by those that knew more then me about life, The interest would be at about 500%+ or more.
