Faux News just quoted Maxine Waters as saying this, still trying to find the link - she was addressing the oil execs claim that current gas prices will soon look cheap by comparrison. She completely blanked on the word "nationalized" and even her fellow critters were trying not to laugh at her.

the DUers have been suggesting this for the past few days... that sort of worries me that she had the guts to say it outloud, in front of a camera.

i wonder when the public at large will start noticing what is going on?

Seriously though, why doesn't FR demand links? Anytime you post something here, OR when we were at CU, everyone expected a link. I was about to link to it on my sports board, but guess what, there IS no link! Damnit!

There is a transcript posted by FNC ,It takes a while to figure out what Maxine was mumbling about as she is hard put to string together a full sentance !

If the defeatocrats "attempt" such a play, I predict that the oil companies will not sit idly by and let them do it.

My suggestion to big oil is to build a form around every wellhead then poor a couple thousand pounds of concrete on them and then decommission the refineries.

Shell threathened to pull out of CA when the state tried to impose a punitive tax on them and prohibited the tax from being passed on to the consumer. The referendum was defeated by a 60 to 40 margin. I guess Maxine W. is too stupid to know are care what goes on in her own state.
