I return to work Monday morning
   

I almost forgot to mention this. I've been off work since my surgery on Jan. 25th. I'll be on light duty for 3-4 months while I continue therapy on my neck and shoulder. My job requires the ability to lift 90 pounds. I'm going off narcotics to do this. I won't be as active as on the DU as I have been.

He goes back to work monday and he is just going off narcotics (most likely hydrocodone) now?  He ought to be in the throws of withdrawal just as he is going backnto work. Why didn't he stop them sooner?

Yep.  His mention of his job requiring him to lift 90 pounds is just the beep-beep-beep sound of the concrete truck backing up to pour the foundation of his pending "injury" that will result him in going out on permanent disability.

I just ran across the photo of him sobbing on the shoulder of the Ditch Witch. Rules here don't allow posting DUmmy photos. I wonder if I could slyly post a shot of the Ditch Witch without comment on who the blubbering moron might be. It's a nice one. As good as the wailing "Investigate all 88" porker. Nah, don't wanna join The Night Owl in the dustbin of history.

I call Bullshit on the 90 lbs. I have a job with heavy lifting and anything over 50 we're supposed to get help and 90+ calls for heavy equipment.

Same here, Randy.  Matter of fact, when I first got here we went from 5 gallon bottles of water to 3 gallons to reduce injuries.  Then we got filtration systems and pretty much got rid of the bottles entirely.

The wire we use in winding motors comes on a spool in a 5 gallon bucket. They weigh from 70 to 100+ pounds.  We have them stored 3 high and have to move them about ten feet and lift them onto a table 2 feet high to use them. Only one guy I know at work uses the overhead hoist to move them.


The buckets have regular wire type handles.

He promised when he went IN for the surgery he'd be taking some time off at DU.  He lied.  He was back the same day.

Steve is a drama queen to the max.

Wanna bet he's going narcotic free because he can't get a refill ?
