As far as all trans people being "visibly" trans?

No, no we aren't.

That's a matter of opinion, I suppose.

The point being, the large majority of transsexuals can and do blend into society just fine.
You probably pass by them in stores, on the streets, etc, and wouldn't have the slightest inkling that they born in the opposite biological sex.

Particularly transsexual men, who don't have the same issues with a deep voice, large hands, etc, that often "out" transsexual women.

If one of those freaks tried to put a make on me, I'd have 3 hots and a cot for the rest of my life.

Okay, I’m confused. Say you are out for a night of clubbing and the bouncer at the door asks for ID, you know like age and stuff. But your ID says Gene and you have a beard but tonight you’re Jean in a little black party dress and heels and a clutch.
What’s the proper protocol?

Life used to be so simple.

That photo brings up another question. Based on my understanding if you're a lesbian it's because you are attracted to women. If so, why would you be with a woman who looks like a man? Since I'm attracted to women I suppose I could be considered a lesbian trapped in a man's body and I know I prefer women that look like women.

If I were a woman, I'd be a dyke. I can't imagine some johnson being anywhere near me, much less being intimate and playing with one.

I think it's because queers are mainly interested only in the genitals, and are okay with whatever transport system they happen to come with. Freaky characters like Rachel and really swishy men are evidence of that.

Speaking as a transgender person, I have NO clue what the hubub is about.

If you're trans and live in Texas, you're just a flipping moron, to begin with.
You don't get to scream that you have to show ID at the polls.  Sorry- it's a completely reasonable expectation.

I show my military ID when I vote [and for everything else].
No gender marker at all on it.  :D

There are quite a few homosexuals that live in that Liberal bastion of Austin. I would assume that there are also a few transgender folks throughout that area. I guess where the problem lies in changing one's ID is that a birth certificate is required to do so. I'm thinking it would be kind of tough to justify putting "male" on the ID when the birth certificate says "female" or "girl".

MP Sgt.: Your Military ID probably DOES say a gender on it, but it's not in any legible form. Mine has this big old bar code looking thing on the back and I'm thinking that there's a LOT of info about me in that.

Unless your name is one of those that goes either male or female then you should have a gender marker.  If your name is George or Jake or Kevin or Michael or ... Then folks know.

Fair enough.
My Mil ID (and Birth Cert, and every other form of ID) all say Aaron Patrick (Last Name).
So yes, my Mil ID says male, in that sense.

Unless your parents hated you.  I seriously cannot begin to comprehend the awful names some people give their kids.  Hollywood is a primo example-the Willis' girls names of Rumer and Scout are sucky.  Tallulah is just old fashioned, but at least it's recognizable as a woman's name.  Gwenyth Paltrow named her daughter Apple.  FFS. :banghead:

It's not just celebrities.  Spend five minutes around a group of under-30 black girls and you will hear some of the most off-the-wall ridiculousness passed off as names.  I'd love to know when this trend got started, because it's absolutely ridiculous.

A black woman that used to work with my wife said that she thinks they just throw letters up in the air and how ever they land on the ground is used for the name.

Anyone with an apostrophe or more than one capital letter in their given name will almost surely spend their life on the dole.

Yeah cuz if I were running for office the first thing I'd think about would be "But what about the transgender vote?"

Heh, very true. :-)
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”
