Media indiscretion concerning national security
« on: February 09, 2011, 07:18:26 PM »
It seems the Associated Press is taking some heat over its lapse of common sense in publishing partial names of CIA folks, possibly outing them. I find this behavior to be reprehensible, unconscionable and reckless.
There was a time when journalists, and I use the term loosely, were capable of a certain amount of discretion, common sense and indeed self respect. It seems those days are long gone and anything goes.
