Egyptian President Mubarak to Step Down in September
« on: February 01, 2011, 03:18:51 PM »

President Hosni Mubarak announced Tuesday that he will step down as leader in September and will not seek re-election.

"I tell you in absolute veracity that I did not intend for the upcoming presidency. I am totally keen on ending my career for the sake of the nation," President Mubarak said in a televised speech.

Mubarak says he will devote the next few months of his term to a peaceful transfer of power.

That should be what it takes to end the protests and violence, but it won't satisfy them.

No it won't. Last night I watched MSNBC say the MB was the best thing since sliced bread.  They said how evil Mubarak was and blah blah blah. Just unreal how the left hates this country and freedom. How they love Sharia. Just f-n mind blowing to me. Should this Sharia take hold in this country the left would be the first target of Sharia.  :banghead:

Mubarak has actually been a pretty benign leader by ME standards, almost all the 'Oppression' has been on activists including the Brotherhood who want to topple the place into chaos, or whose actions would have that effect regardless of the purity of their intentions.

The communist community organizer occupying the White Mosque suggests he step down ASAP.
Anyone here surprised?

The insignia are a little too blurry to tell if it's pre- or post-USSR, the cap devices look like they're probably red stars rather than the somewhat different device that replaced it in Russian forces after the breakup, but I believe they're a Russkii honor guard greeting him at an airport.

Well, Mubarak was going step down in September already, by most accounts. Obama just made an ass out of himself again by taking the MB side, as did the MSM.
