The Birther Plan To Block Obama's Reelection

Source: motherjones.com

The birthers have a plan to end Barack Obama's presidency—and in Arizona, they're making progress.

Last week, Arizona state Rep. Judy Burges, a Republican, introduced a bill that would bar presidential candidates who do not prove they were born in the United States from appearing on the ballot in the Grand Canyon state. And state Rep. Chad Campbell, the top Democrat in the GOP-controlled Arizona House of Representatives, tells Mother Jones that the bill is likely to pass. It was introduced with 25 co-sponsors in the House and 16 co-sponsors in the state Senate; the measure needs 31 votes in the House and 16 in the Senate for approval. "Will it matter?" asks Campbell. "We've started a tradition here of passing legislation that is political grandstanding or that sets up litigation."

1. We really need George Soros

to start acting like the Koch Brothers (I say that somewhat tongue in cheek).

Here at DU we'll get outraged but we'll do nothing. We won't go and scream and holler 'kill him/kill the bill' at our House Members Town Halls, we won't have outsiders come in (like in Prop 8) and make trouble - we're just going to allow it to happen.

4. We've got to...somehow.

I know what you mean. We're going to have to reconfigure outrage. We don't act like the Teabaggers, because they're thugs. I
think we're gonna have to do it through sheer reinvention, and evolve.

38. Why should this be any different then the deafening silence over the 2000 election? We were silent

then as was the senate. All it would have taken is ONE senator to stand in support of the house members who protested the supreme court selection of G.W. Bush. In the alternative we could have and should have been on the streets demanding that the recount in Florida continue until complete. Our silence facilitated a political coup d'etat.

2. How do you think this will stop Obama's reelection?

Do you think he wasn't born in the US ?

Good point.

6. WHAT?

I'm posting a link about the crap they're pulling in Arizona. It's news. We need to be aware of their tactics. Did you even read the article?

Why be concerned if Obama is a citizen?

9. Tactics?

Why should we even care about this? I'm just laughing at it because they're spending money on things like this. The man is a citizen and what will they do then? Meltdown?

What will the black vote do if his BC says he is white?

24. Oh. That's nice.

That still leaves the question - what's the problem? How would this Arizona bill stop President Obama's reelection? Are you a teabagger who thinks he hasn't proven his birth place?

Here's a bit from the US Constituion:

Article IV Section 1
Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State.

The Arizona bill would be unconstitutional on face. Documents presented by the State of Hawaii would have to be accepted by Arizona.

Yeah, but that would not make the law unconstitutional.  It just means that Hawaii must produce the BC or give it to Obama to produce it.

Forcing the democrat party to go to court on that point would be tantamount to admitting he can't show valid proof of natural-born citizenship. His electors in Arizona would simply run under the banner of some straw man if the law were to stand. He isn't going to carry Arizona anyway, so the law would serve its purpose in hurting the democrats nationally, no matter how it was ultimately adjudicated.

Exactly! Can you imagine the precedent it would set if the Dem candidate doesn't even show up on the state ballot during a presidential election because he can't produce a stinkin' birth certificate!

That will certainly put the lib party in a good light! You DUmmies go right on ahead and ignore it and see what happens!

Although I'm not a rabid birther, I still can't get past the fact that lord zero spent upwards of $2 mill blocking and fighting the BC deal.  $2 mill!  That's quite a chunck of change to me.  Anybody asked me for my BC, I just pull it out of my file cabinet.  Costs me nada.

Occam's Razor states that there must be something that Obama does not want in the public.

A) He is a British citizen.

B) He is listed as white on the BC because of his mother.

C) Religion is muslim on the BC because of his father.

D) It has been scrubbed for either A, B, or C and is no longer in existence.

Any of those would have made Hillary the Nominee and will make him a one termer in 12.

Well, it's easy to spend $2 million when it's someone else's money. I doubt the Kenyan has spent a dime out of pocket.
How much do you think Lurch has spent hiding his Bad Conduct Discharge?

Not a dime.  So long as he doesn't sign off SF180, anyway.

Uhhh, DUmbshit:  the states have ABSOLUTE authority over who is and who isn't on their ballot.  Just like when you use that little fact to keep Green Party/other Third Party 'tards from siphoning votes off from the Dhimmi'Rat anointed.  :fuelfire:
