DUmmy cali, who has been insulting her fellow DUmpmonkeys from time to time, does it again. This time, she has the nerve to imply that America is a better place to live than Egypt:

So after reading post after post here about how we're worse off than folks in Egypt, I did some basic research. And no, I'm not saying that things are great here. What's happening is anything but great, and we're on a path, imo, that will lead to an excelerated diminishing standard of living. The gap between rich and poor in this country is indeed horrendous. But the claim, largely based on the Gini coefficient (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gini_coefficient ) that the masses are worse off in the United States than in Egypt, is the worst kind of, well, crap. And here's why:
Infant mortality rate: U.S. rank: 33rd in the World. Nothing to write home about but then let's look at Egypt: 115th in the world. What does that reflect: For the U.S., 6.3 deaths per 1,000 live births; for Egypt, 28.3. Are you beginning to see the picture? No? I thought not. How about under 5 mortality? In the U.S. that figure is 7.8, In Egypt, it's 33.8.
Blah, blah, data link blah......
Stating that things are just as bad here as in Egypt is either ignorant of disingenuous. Yes, we have poverty in this country, and it's a crying shame that there are as many people who are poor as there are, but the depth and breadth of poverty in Egypt is of a much greater magnitude.

5. The difference between Egypt and the USA when it comes to poverty?
We.Have.No.****ing.Excuse
It's really as simple as that, America is the richest country on the planet, Egypt is among the poorest.
Add in the fact that Egypt has been under the thumb of a brutal dictator for thirty years and we are the shining beacon of democracy and the level of poverty in this country is simply inexcusable.
DUmp noob Fleming sees this thread as a high, hanging curve ball for building DUmp cred, but as usual, he's wrong.

6. But the point is that we shouldn't be "better off" than them!
America has stolen whatever wealth we have left from the rest of the world. As long as one person in the world lives in poverty we must share the same fate.

23. ****ing nonsense. Absolute ****ing nonsense.
The vast majority of the wealth we've generated over the course of our short history has been from the exploitation of our own abundant natural resources.
And I'd remind you that you're sitting comfortably in your home posting to a message board. shouldn't you be digging up cassava with a stick under a broiling sun or something if you believe we should all "share the fate" of the poor?
He thought the pitch was a hanging curve, but it was actually high heat, and he stepped right into it.

11. I don't think anyone has tried to argue that Americans are worse off than Egyptians, on the whole.
The point is that our wealth disparity is much worse.
DUmmy girl gone stupid doesn't realize that DUmmy cali is taking no prisoners.

21. Most of the threads started with an analysis of the wealth gap.
I can find several decaying trailer parks that resemble the barrios within a 30 mile radius of me. I know there are many examples of extreme poverty here in the US. You mentioned health issues. The AIDS rate in our prison population is 2000% higher than Egypt's. However, I think these comparisons are divisive and miss the larger point.
Well now, DUmmy girl gone stupid, those trailer parks all have cable TV and broadband internet. DUmmy bobbolink, who is homeless, has an iPhone. How does all that measure up to third world poverty? And our prison AIDS rate would be near zero if we stoned homos like the Religion of Peace does.
DUmmy lonestarnut, still traumatized by all the corpses she reported seeing entangled in Galveston treetops, chimes in with her analysis of American unemployment.

25. I read a thread here that said that 44% of U.S. is unemployed.
How long with that amount of unemployed people do you think it will take for the U.S. to drop like a rock into the same state? People are being forced to live in Tombs in the City of the Dead in Egypt. I don't know of any tombs that people can live in here. They use bridges instead.
We gotta build more bridges to house the DUmmies.
