Cloward-Piven Plan looks kinda overblown now
« on: January 17, 2011, 08:14:31 AM »
Can we really be that threatened by someone this moronic and inept?

This is what resides in the halls of academia?

This is pure, unadulterated snake oil. She even admits she "has no data." If I was a parent of a child at Colombia U I would literally be suing them for a full refund of tuition.

The C-P plan is actually a fundamentally stupid idea (Even aside from being amoral and irresponsible), though it undoubtedly creates a lot of havoc and disruption in the process of failure.  It is predicated on the immutability of entitlement programs, then using them to break the state.  It fails to take into account that (With the possible exception of California and Illinois) governments are adaptive entities that can change the rules when the pressure of entitlement-seekers takes them to the brink.

I've got bandwidth limits at home (Satellite) and two internet-using kids at home, and if we run through it we all get to hear about it big time from the lady of the house who needs it for her schoolwork and real work, so I don't watch vids at home as a rule.  I'll get back to ya tomorrow on that, since the LAN at work has no such problem.

CLoward and Pivon plan was to over whelm the Social System system by causing massive amounts of people to become depndant upon Government Handouts while collapsing the Economy.  The plan has alomst reached its goals as we speak.  Barack Obama's community oraganizing was a oraginzation whose goals was to get as many people on the system as possible.  He is part of it.  The CLoward and Pivon Plan is in the White House. It is no acident that almst every move Obama makes hurts the economy and creats more people depemding upon Government Handouts.  If only we ha done our duty and defended Liberty, Government Hadnout would not exist, because they violate the Liberty of every Taxpayer, as well as being a violation of the 13th Amendment's prohibition on Involuntary Servitude.

So, I played it, it was 3 minutes and 48 seconds I'll never get back.  What she says is completely consistent with the academic Left's Bizarro World view of America today.  The fact that they have a stupid world view chock full of erroneous assumptions and based on defective economics does not mean the so-called Cloward-Piven plan can't do a lot of damage on its way to ultimate failure.
