LONDON - British actress Susannah York has died of cancer in London at the age of 72.Her death was announced by her son, the actor Orlando Wells. Wells said Sunday his mother had been an incredibly brave woman who did not complain about her bone marrow cancer.York had a string of leading roles in the late 1960s and was best known for her Oscar-nominated role in the 1969 hit "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" She also starred with Albert Finney in "Tom Jones" and with Paul Scofield and Orson Welles in "A Man for All Seasons."
