Reagan tribute scheduled for Super Bowl

Edited on Wed Jan-19-11 08:24 PM by underpants
Several pop-ups on this site. Summary is below.
http://www.examiner.com/political-buzz-in-atlanta/reaga...

On Sunday, February 6, 2011, the world will turn its eyes to Arlington, TX for Super Bowl XLV, to be held at the Dallas Cowboys' new stadium.

February 6 is also notable for another "cowboy" - this one, an actor-turned-President. February 6, 2011 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of this nation's 40th President, Ronald Reagan.

Tributes are being planned across the country as well as around the world, even in countries of the former Soviet bloc described famously by Reagan as an "Evil Empire" in 1983, at the height of the Cold War. The fall of the Soviet regime is largely credited to the actions Reagan took, both foreign and domestic, to spur the American economy while forcing the U.S.S.R. and Soviet bloc to destabilize and eventually fall, being rebuilt for the most part into Western-inspired republics.

A tribute is being planned as part of the Super Bowl festivities in Texas, though specific details are largely being kept under wraps at the moment.

2. Good to know this

So I now know and accordingly will spend the day watching OnDemand movies all day long.

Yep if you saw something good about Reagan you may be tempted to do violent acts, so please do watch movies all day.

7. El barfo.

I wish people would wise up and connect the dots. Reagan started this nation on the road to ruin. He was a mean old man who shouldn't have been elected dogcatcher, let alone governor, let alone President.

Unlike Obama and Harry Reid (who all by himself saved the world from collapse) Reagan turned around the economy and allowed shovel ready jobs to be created.

Yet we're supposed to give respect to an empty suit, community organizin' prick, right, DUmmies?

**** off! If it weren't for Regan, you idiots would be in the projects and hookin' to get your crack! Heaven knows with his economic sense, he saved Jimmah from takin' us off the deep end to Venezuela style politics! Oh, that's right, that's exactly what you pole smokers want, isn't it?

Thank the Good Lord for Ronnie, if it hadn't been for him, you asshats might have destroyed my country earlier! Have no fear though, you seem to be on the fast track to do it now! Oh, that's right, we kicked your ass last November, didn't we? Guess your shit outa luck again!

FOAD ya un-American POS's!

It would be funny if he flipped to OnDemand and they were constantly advertising old Ronald Reagan movies.
