Let us not lose sight of the big picture
« on: January 09, 2011, 06:41:58 AM »
Hi,

Well there was an idiot shooter in AZ, a left winger as described by his friends and the media is quick and loud to blame the right, Palin, Beck, Limbaugh and conservatives.

In the house the left is fighting against the repeal of the health care bill, screaming bloody murder about the right taking away this, that or the other thing.

Does not take too much to figure out that the goal is to put the Republicans, particularly conservatives on the defensive.

It is time to play offense, not defense.

Instead of debating the health care issue on the democrat terms, the Repbulicans, in unison should be screaming that the health care bill was passed against the will of the majority of the American people and that is why it should be reversed, then a new sensible health care bill, which the majority would support should be drawn up in it's place.

As far as the shooting goes, don't go there, we are all saddened and shocked.  At the same time, "cut the bullshit" is an appropriate response.  For every republican condemnation of the left there are ten louder and boulder condemnations of the right.  If the Republicans allow this to get into a pissing contest they have little to gain because the media wants to continue to fan the flames as long as they can.......anything to deflect and destroy their ability to govern.

regards,

Giffords was shot because she wasn't left enough.    This has nothing to do with the commentary of conservative party members and commentators.   The fool never got his pony, and the only blame for that level of entitlement thinking goes to the DNC and the president.   They had no problem or worries selling that nonsense when they wanted the white house.   Well here you go.   Those progressives you banked on?  you own them now.

Doesn't matter what the facts are. We will be blamed for this and God only knows how far the left will go.

I think the strongest case to get Obamacare repealed is that health insurance is a contract and no one can be forced into a contract. A contract is something both parties agree too, not one side.

One flaw there buddy, Social Security is a contract that we are forced by law to enter.
I agree that it is unconstitutional to make us buy anything but, they can use SS as precedent.
Unless they find them both to be unconstitutional but, I aint holding my breathe.

Social Security is a contract with the government. ObamaCare is forcing contracts to be made by individuals and corporations.
