In short - Pangaea was a mega-continent on a mini earth, and it broke apart from internal forces as lighter elements rise from the core - like the way the crust on a loaf of bread fractures as it rises while baking..  ANd if this theory is correct, there will be more petroleum made by the earth as long as its core continues to be active.

I was listening to the news on NPR this afternoon. The headline, and this is verbatim, was: "Today congressional Republicans introduced legislation that would prevent the administration from taking action to limit climate change." So, clearly, climate change is settled fact, as is the ability of the jug-eared muslim to limit it. I wouldn't have known that without National Public Radio. Damn Republicans.
