The  U.N. needs to go the way of the League of Nations.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

-- Marcus Tullius Cicero, 55 BC (106-43 BC)

Err.....the sanctions are being lifted on IRAQ.....not Iran.  Doncha' think that since the country has been under coalition control since pretty much 2004 (and we still have perhaps 50,000 troops there) , it is OK to assume that they are not a nuclear threat?????

Not that I'm a fan of the UN, but I would certainly look favorably on any efforts to bring Iraq back into the "family of democratic nations".......which seems to be the direction that they are headed.
