Years ago, when we got 24" of snow on top of ice....my electricity went out about 5am on Saturday morning and didn't come back on until Wednesday.

I didn't have to throw anything out that was in the freezer in the garage. In the refrigerator in the house...just the milk, hamburger (that I had just bought on Friday) and the ice cream in the freezer. It was so cold in the house - the thermostat was at 50, and it was almost as cold in the garage as it was outside, that everything else was ok.

Ok is a relative term....the laundry room pipes froze, and so did the expensive part on the sprinkler system...of course they all burst too.  :censored:
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

BEG, I noticed that too and it always makes my eyes roll.  DUmmie has to spell it out...Goat cheese  Cheddar cheese, Lean beef.  Who gives a f^&*?   Insufferable, these people.

I guess you can't buy "ice" with foodstamps?

....or, if DUmmie lived in a cold area and had a brain, put some plastic bottles of water out to freeze and make their own ice.

We need to know the ambient temperature, the initial frig temp, and how often the DUmbass opens the door.

Hey, screw that.  This is a DUmmie we're talking about here.  The correct answer is obviously 'At least six weeks, and the cramps, diarrhea, and passing out are perfectly normal, just let it happen.'

The stuff should last for weeks. Bon appetite!

This is 1 of the reasons I want to buy a generator.

We got one a couple years ago. Haven't needed it since. We did need it before we got it, however.

No worries DUmmie, once you scrape the green off it's all good.  :-)

I bought a generator in 2002. It came in handy in '04 when we used it for weeks after the hurricane season from hell. It's in storage right now, waiting. I'll always have one. I learned my lesson.
