I still think they should do what the comedian suggested.  I don't remember which one.

"They should build a steel box and run a frequency through it that will set off ANY explosives.  Just have everyone step into the steel box one at a time and turn it on.  If nothing goes 'boom' then you are free to board the plane."

Dutch---I all ways try to get the seat right behind the driver so I can warn him of hazards and alert him to his going too fast.   I have found that when a sign is posted to "Please do not talk to the driver " a few loud gasps and a tiny OH NO from time to time keeps him or her on their toes.
