David Alxelrod's daughter
« on: November 23, 2010, 10:01:06 AM »
I was watching a segment of his daughter on fox, she has seizures and lives in a home.  She is developmentally delayed because of the seizures. She is really quite a talented painter and is encouraged by the people at the home to paint as well as learn to care for herself. She has grown quite a bit in the 8 years since she has lived there.

All politics aside, I found it a rather heartwarming story. The people who go to the home pay whatever they can afford, the rest is covered by donations and government grants.  Please check out the link to the home and if you feel the urge, please donate as a lot of their funding comes from donations. The sister who runs the home seems like a wonderful person who cares for these people dearly. It was a positively sweet story.

The New York Times ran an article yesterday about high fat-low carb diets as a treatment for epilepsy.

Evidence a High-Fat Diet Works to Treat Epilepsy

A formerly controversial high-fat diet has proved highly effective in reducing seizures in children whose epilepsy does not respond to medication, British researchers are reporting.

BACON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
